The Space:
Welcome to historic Cavell Street Cottage, built in 1870, filled with character and set in central West Hobart. The cottage was built with a mix of convict brick and sandstone which has endured the test of time and been beautifully retained.
The traditional cottage layout features an entry hall with original timber flooring and baltic wall lining and the two ground floor bedrooms opening off either side. These rooms are both generously proportioned and enjoy city and water views.
Follow the staircase to discover the third spacious loft bedroom upstairs, with raked ceilings and offering a great view from the dormer window.
The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests across the 3 bedrooms.
While the fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare delicious meals using local produce from nearby markets, whether it is iconic Salamanca Market each Saturday or the Farm Gate market each Sunday.
The bathroom features a separate shower and bath to enjoy a relaxing soak in at the end of the day. Step outside into the under cover courtyard, where you can enjoy alfresco dining or a morning coffee and take in the large backyard.
A historic and comfortable base to enjoy Hobart from. The cottage has off street parking for one vehicle.

If you prefer to travel by car, my cottage provides off-street parking for one vehicle, ensuring you have a secure place to park during your stay. From here, you can easily access major roads and highways, allowing you to venture further and explore the beautiful outskirts of Hobart.
For those who enjoy a leisurely stroll, the central location offers the advantage of being within walking distance to many popular attractions. Including the waterfront and Salamanca.
Additionally, West Hobart itself is a vibrant neighbourhood that boasts an array of local amenities. From boutique shops to cozy cafes and local markets, everything you need is within reach, making it convenient to run errands or simply explore around the area.

Other Things to Note:
There is a steep wooden staircase inside of the property. This staircase provides the only access to the third (attic) bedroom - please see photos to ensure this is not an issue for your group.
The off-street car space will be adequate for one small to medium size vehicle.
