Stunning Views-All Day Sun and Amazing Sunsets.

This Four bedroom home provides great flexibility with a master bedroom and bathrooms both up and down stairs.
Fully equipped kitchen, Free view TV, BBQ and outdoor furniture, a log burner for the winter as well as kayaks available for use.
Stunning sea views, all day sun and a large flat yard to sit and entertain or just read a book and listen to the Bell Birds.
Off street parking with the beach at the end of the drive.
This home is not toddler friendly . From crawling to the age of 5 is not permitted.
Tourist activities include both dolphin watching and swimming with dolphins, guided kayaking, fishing and swimming, hiking, walks and a relaxed village around which you can just stroll and enjoy the views, the people, the atmosphere...

There’s a good beaches for playing in and a pleasant drive by car to the outer bays of the Peninsula will find some of the best beaches in Canterbury. Banks Peninsula even has a couple of hidden surfing spots which are world renown. The village also boasts a decent sized supermarket, many cafes, and a host of wonderful restaurants. The safe bay also offer great walks and hikes, along with boutique shopping, galleries, wineries and the famous Barry Point cheese factory.

Akaroa is 1,5 hours from Christchurch city, and has a regular mini-bus service operating between Christchurch City, and both the International and Domestic airports if you’re arriving from another city.

Amazing location, clean and great for families
Wish we’d stayed longer! Our two night stay with the extended family was perfect in this lovely house. Well provisioned , comfy beds and nice and clean. Location was fabulous with a 4 minute walk to the shops one way and less than a minute the other. Directly opposite the beach, and can park the car up and not use it again for the stay. We’d love to stay again, next time for longer. Thanks so much!

Second time's a charm
This is the second time we've stayed here as we love the location and the property. It was an excellent base for our weekend away. This year we brought our brother and sister-in-laws with us with two of their grown up kids and the house didn't feel crowded at all. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay in Akaroa
We loved this property for its handy location, great views, heaps of amenities, and because it felt like a real holiday home. The fireplace was great for cold weather (very easy to use!). We would strongly recommend it as a place to stay - unless it's during a time we would like to stay there again :)

Location was perfect. Older house but well equipped with lots of heaters and fireplace. Just thinking a heatpump may be beneficial as in summer I’d say upstairs would get very hot. Fabulous toys for kids in wardrobes and kayaks etc in garage to use. We did find hot water in kitchen tap was extremely hot so may need to be adjusted. Overall we had such a lovely family holiday in a very nice place. Thank you.

We had an excellent stay thank you. You cannot beat the house for it's location a short walk from town and the beach. We made use of the kayaks that the hosts keep for guests, my kids loved this! The house was clean and had all the facilities we needed, felt very lucky to be sipping my morning brew on the balcony overlooking the bay, stunning, we'll definitely be back!

‘Under promised and over delivered’. Really brilliant place to stay, super clean, well stocked kitchen area and wood burner. Location is superb set back from main road but with a view of the bay from the bedrooms and balcony. Shirt walk to all amenities. Will definitely be back!!

Great location and classic kiwi style home. So handy to everything Akaroa has to offer. Amazing sunset views and silhouette in the late afternoon. Just could of done with some wifi to hot spot the footy. Top marks from us second time visitors. Highly recommend this place.

Family holiday paradise.
This was a remarkable place to stay as the bach was beautifully clean, extremely well equipped and amazingly situated across the road from the beach with the bonus of a lovely private garden.
