Absolute Waterfront Only 15 minutes From Hobart
Summary:
Literally perched on Howrah Beach and less than 15 minutes drive to the Hobart CBD you'll find our beach house with accommodation for up to 8 guests. Enjoy magic views across the Derwent River to the city and Mount Wellington (Kunyanyi). Unwind on the top deck or on the beach below and enjoy the dramatic sunsets from the sand - even better, jump on a kayak! Featuring off-street parking for 2 cars, a large kitchen for self-catering and WiFi - enjoy a beach getaway only moments from the action.
The Space:
Set literally upon the shores of Howrah Beach, the house enjoys sensational water, mountain and city views. With direct access to the beach and only 10km to the CBD of Hobart, you can combine a beach getaway with a visit to all the inner-city attractions worth seeing.
The house has eclectic features set across two-levels - the upper-floor offers an open plan living room and kitchen that flows out onto a large and spacious deck above the beach. Meals can be enjoyed at the large island bench with seating for 6, or alternatively outside on the picnic bench. Please note there is no formal dining area.
Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms – one furnished with a queen bed and the other (perfect for 4 kids) is adjacent to the living room and furnished with 2 x single beds and a bunk bed sleeping an additional 2 guests. It should be noted there is a transparent steel partition separating the bunk room from the living area rather than a solid wall and door (this room enjoys a level of privacy due to the bunks acting as a screen/divider however it is still relatively open). A bathroom with bath tub and copper-lined walk in shower and separate toilet complete the top level.
On the lower level is a large third bedroom with an open plan ensuite. This bedroom has access to its own balcony which takes you via stairs directly down onto the beach. The laundry downstairs is equipped with washer and dryer. Please see the last photo in the listing for a floor plan.
Outside is a storage shed where guests are welcome to access kayaks. You will have access to WiFi and off-street parking for 2-vehicles during your stay.

The Neighborhood:
The house is just under 15 minutes drive (10km) from the Hobart CBD in Howrah. The Hobart Airport is 15km away. The Shoreline shopping centre is only 5 minutes walk with a large Woolworths supermarket and other shops. Grab a pub meal at the Shoreline Hotel.
Getting Around:
It is highly recommended guests arrive with their own car for ease of transport. If this is not an option, public transport runs regularly along Howrah Beach Road. Taxis and Uber are convenient and reliable in Hobart.
