About this property
Stay steps from Salamanca in historical cottage
Summary:
Central 2 bedroom semi-detached period cottage just steps from Hobart’s Salamanca Place and vibrant restaurant and cultural scene. Fully renovated, stay in the heart of the historical Battery Point precinct, with easy walking distance to cafés, Hobart waterfront and CBD.
Beautifully re-imagined, the historical cottage is suited for a couple’s getaway or group of friends, complete with outdoor courtyard and BBQ for alfresco entertaining.
The Space:
Be greeted by the cottage’s signature bright red front door, the historical home with hints of character has been renovated and extended for modern living.
With two generous sized and light-filled bedrooms, both with Queen sized beds, the home is perfectly suited for two couples or a small group of friends.
Featuring a large galley style kitchen with all modern appliances and glass window splash-back to add more light and nature.
Spacious living room with high ceilings and glass bi-fold doors leading to a private courtyard with BBQ and outdoor setting to create an ambience of indoor-outdoor entertaining during warm summer evenings.
Living rooms fitted with heating for added comfort, the home also features a dining room with period fireplace and large modern bathroom with separate free-standing bath and floor to ceiling shower.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access and private use of the entire property during their stay.
The Neighborhood:
Battery Point is arguably Hobart's most sought-after suburb filled with heritage-listed properties lining the streets and quant laneways. Discover the neighbourhood on foot, by starting your morning with a coffee and pastry from Jackson & McRoss Bakery.
There are endless restaurants, bars, art galleries and a range of stores in Salamanca Place. Don’t miss Salamanca Market every Saturday morning for fresh Tasmanian produce and handmade goods.
Take a 5 minute walk to Hobart Waterfront, adjacent to Salamanca for more top class restaurants, events and the launching point for ferries and tours to a range of destinations including MONA, Bruny Island, Tasman Peninsula.
Getting Around:
Use the well connected Metro Tasmania bus services to get you around town. Neuron and Beam Scooters are available to rent via apps, as well as Taxis and Uber, or you can rent your own car.
Hobart airport is just 20 minute drive, and the MONA ferry terminal is a 10 minute walk.
Other Things to Note:
Please note this is a historical cottage with a steep staircase to the dormer bedroom upstairs. There is also a bedroom on the entry level if this is an issue, however if you require both rooms, please consider if the stairs are an issue as we do not want to be reviewed poorly for this in hindsight.
Interaction with Guests:
Please note I will not be available in person during your stay. I have a management team in place to assist guests with any questions or issues which may arise during their stay.
