About this property
Historical Victoria Tavern Two
Summary:
Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally located apartment. After serving almost 200 years as Hobart’s Victoria Tavern, one of Tasmania’s oldest pubs, this newly redeveloped boutique apartment has grand tales to tell. The brand new two bedroom apartment retains its artistic and heritage listed Victoria Tavern street front. The stunning, light filled apartment in the CBD is just steps from the city’s highlights such as Salamanca Place and is ready to start writing a new chapter.
The Space:
Welcome to the iconic 'Vic Tav' - a blend of old and new, this two bedroom, one bathroom apartment holds space for its history with stunning original features such as exposed sandstone walls, original floorboards, high ceilings and large Victorian windows.
Combine these nostalgic features with beautiful architectural and interior design, lighting, joinery and artwork. The apartment comfortably sleeps four people – ideal for a getaway for two couples, friends, or a work trip. The 2nd floor apartment with elevator access, is spacious, contemporary and inviting. Modern kitchen with electric stovetop and new appliances, leading into a natural light-filled living and dining space.
Split systems in the communal areas and generous sized bedrooms – which both have Queen sized beds, for added comfort and warmth. A beautifully designed bathroom with ample vanity space and fully equipped laundry next to the kitchen make for a comfortable stay.
As the building starts its new life, it’s already experienced nearly 200 years of history, as one of Tasmania’s oldest and continuously licensed pubs. If you believe the tales, there are rumours of hidden tunnels under the building.
You won’t find a better location than this, in the heart of Hobart amongst the action, with Salamanca Place just five minutes walk and cafes such as Yellow Bernard and Villini just a short stroll away.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access and private use of the entire property.
The Neighborhood:
Hobart is an eclectic mix of history and contemporary culture, with a bustling food and arts scene. The apartment is close to everything that Hobart has to offer – restaurants, retail and business district.
