The ultimate family getaway this lovely two storey, four bedroom home in the sought after "Bird Area" of Taupo will help ensure your time in Taupo is a memorable one.

A short stroll to Taupo township and the Great Lake. Plenty of room for all the family here. This home accommodates guests comfortably with 4 Generous double bedrooms and 2 separate lounges/ living areas plus a dining area for enjoying some home made cooking or local dining.

The Lake peeks are just enough to know whether to take the boat out for the day or whether to bask in the sun by the lake or dipping into the beautiful waters of Lake Taupo.

The open plan kitchen, dining and lounge create a family friendly environment.

French doors open out to a massive North facing deck for relaxing and soaking up the sun or just enjoy a BBQ with the family.

There is a small lawn area.

Large double garaging for all the toys and off street parking for a couple of vehicles.

Just the place for an easy care holiday so close to all that Taupo has to offer and a quick drive to Rotorua to enjoy the culture.

Little paradise

Family reunion

The property was perfect for our group of seven adults and one child. We had two big vehicle's and one small one parked in front of the shed. Excellent four days.

Great Bach to stay at

We stayed as 2 couples with 1 couple having 4 year old twins. The large living space was perfect plus a separate lounge downstairs for the kids to play in. Just be aware that upstairs is the 2 doubles and downstairs is the twin and bunk rooms. This may not suit all family combinations. But location is fantastic and overall great property for a longer stay.

Feedback on Property

The property was of a great location and simple walk to lake and town, however there are a few items we feel need addressing for future guests: The pedestal basin in the ensuite is very loose and the first night my wife leaned down on it when it moved she fell over. Having no silicon seal is also a little unhygienic. The tap in kitchen sink is very loose and you had to hold at the base when using it, again silicon seal not effective allowing water to splash under. We only used the BBQ once as the tray in bottom with absorbent caught fire, i had gone into the kitchen and luckily my daughter saw the flames and i managed to extinguish. Definitely needs changing out. All these are minor issues that could be easily fixed. Thanks for the use.

Team Stay

The property was perfect with the bedrooms upstairs and downstairs plus games room. It provided good opportunity for the kids to have fun without straying to far from the parents.

Plenty of space for a group of adults

6 friends met up for two nights to play some golf. Plenty of sleeping space for us all and the layout worked for us. Very quiet area and an easy taxi or short walk to town. Happily stay again.

Great place to stay in Taupo for a family weekend away

Karen’s place was perfect for my family group of siblings who were doing the Tongariro Crossing. There is loads of space, it’s lovely and warm and is extremely well equipped - you have everything you need and more. We didn’t get around to playing pool or table tennis but there is a great array of board games that we used. Highly recommend this place to stay.

Family Reunion at it's best thanks to Kaka Bach

Kaka Bach has a homely feel and is a great place to stay for a large group. It is spacious, with two living areas, plus a garage set up with a pool table, dart board and a blackboard to doodle. it's a quick walk down to the lake front, which is a bonus too. The hosts were really easy to deal with, and any information needed was written in the folder provided. We highly recommend Kaka Bach and would definitely stay here again.

Amazing family getaway

Our family had the most amazing experience in this beautiful home. The house comes with everything you need, just bring your clothes and food. The deck of the lounge is HUGE, the pictures don't do it justice!! When we weren't out exploring all the amazing attractions of Taupo we were kicking back, having some fun games of pool, ping pong and sitting around the large table eating together. The driveway is shared and surrounding houses can see into the main areas upstairs and on the deck but it's a lovely area and the neighbors are friendly (just keep the side gate shut as there were a couple of local dogs roaming around). Overall we had the most amazing time and I would recommend this home for any season if the year as it's equipped for all. Thank you for the beautiful holiday we very much needed.
