Taraview Cottage - Fully self contained

Great central location when exploring the Wairarapa. Taraview is situated in a rural setting with fabulous view of the Tararua ranges 2kms from Greytown and a 10 minute drive to Martinborough
Romantic place to stay for couples as it has a huge claw foot bath big enough for 2 and yet also great place to stay for a couple with kids and a dog with half an acre of private fully fenced land to run about on.
Kept warm in the winter months with a log burner.

Dogs are welcome just bring something for them to sleep on and we ask you please do not leave them unattended at the cottage unless crated.

A peaceful haven

Taraview Cottage was exactly as described and easy to locate. It is well equipped and the beds comfortable. Early mornings were spent in the luscious back garden listening to the sweet bird songs. A bench hidden amongst the cottage flowers was the perfect space to meditate as the sun rose while at the other end of the day, the front porch became the spot to sip a wine as the sun set. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Jeannie.

Perfect cottage

5 minutes from Greytown a cute 4 person cottage in semi rural area with the most beautiful garden with flower beds, fruit trees and sitting area. Ticked all the boxes.

Gorgeous Greytown

Lovely cottage surrounded by magical gardens, filled with bees and butterflies! We found the road noise a bit loud but earplugs sorted that. The cottage is filled with charm and character. Great location to explore the area. Fantastic to be able to bring our spotty Poppi dog with us ;) Thanks Jeannie!

Lovely getaway

Lovely time in a quiet spot, easy access to trails for longer dog walks. Great fenced yard and beautiful gardens. Well equipped lovely place for a getaway.

The perfect Canine Vacation

We took our two dogs there. They loved it. And therefore we loved it. It is quite simply perfect for dogs. Well equipped cottage. Close to Greytown and Martinborough. Fabulous garden.

Gorgeous Taraview

Another wonderful stay at this lovely cottage set in a fully fenced garden. Our Labrador loved checking out every inch of the beautiful grounds and enjoying the wood burner in the evenings. She was made most welcome with her own doggy bowl and bag of treats. A great location close to Greytown and Martinborough. We will be back!

Perfect Wairarapa getaway spot

At Taraview, guests get great proximity to Greytown while also getting the quiet of the countryside. We enjoyed strolling around the beautiful garden and relaxing in the cosy cottage. Highly recommended!

Relaxing with the pooch

The cottage was perfect for a weekend away with our dog. The notes and information left by the owner were thoughtful and friendly. We all felt so welcome (dog included). The garden is lovely, tulips in bloom and very well cared for. There's an expansive outlook across paddocks to the hills which makes the cottage a very relaxing place to be. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

Sooo restful

We had the most amazing stay - it is our second time going there and honestly it is the BEST if you are looking to unwind and relax . The garden is beautiful and the front porch is very sunny with a gorgeous view. On a cold day you can sit inside play games and light the fire - plus on top of all that it is super clean ! Highly recommended !

Love this cottage.

This property was perfect for my sister and myself, were there two nights, wished it had been longer. We both loved how the house had lots of old things ,all so comfortable ,the wood burner throw out great heat.Would love to revisit in spring or summer to enjoy the garden. Thank you .

A lovely family escape

Was great to be able to stay out in the country on the outskirts of Greytown. We went to Mt Holdsworth and did a wonderful bush walk. We loved being able to bring the dog and having a super place for him to run around. Thank you.

Great location.. easy to find.. short distance to Greytown. Cosy fire place. The house was nice and warm with the fire going.. our dog loved the garden.. I felt the only thing missing was a microwave would have been helpful to heat up food.

Quaint Cottage

A lovely little cottage 5 mins from Greytown. Plenty of firewood plus lovely duvet for a toasty winter stay! We appreciated the little touches: jams, coffee, Yorkshire teabags, dog treats etc. The road is busy during the day but quiet at night. Fully fenced large garden appreciated by the dog! Thank you!

Awesome Wairarapa experience

Our 3 chihuahuas loved the secure garden having a great time exploring it. We loved exploring the Wairarapa. It is such a beautiful place. Great to have a comfortable base to come home to every day.
