About this property

Sandhills Beach Hut is set on a prime North facing property with a large lawn area, plenty of room to pitch a tent if required, the unit has a deck attached with BBQ and outdoor furniture. It is a modern open plan self contained unit attached to a storage shed for the use of the guests only.
The island is very unique generating our own power and water supply. The beach hut works on a 12 volt power system, so limited power but very comfortable. Gas cooking, hot water and small electric fridge.
Gas heating for the colder months.
100m from the waters edge of the beautiful Medlands Beach. Enjoy long walks, great surfing and fishing on this pristine beach.
The Beach Hut is located at Sandhills Road Medlands Beach.
It is 5 mins by car to the Airport, cafes, Art Gallery and a little longer to the golf Club and Hot Springs.

Amazing location

The location is right on Medlands beach! So perfect to pop in for a quick swim or surf. Very close to local brewery and incredible sites. The Owner is a dream to deal with, very helpful and accommodating. Loved our time here!

Wedding on Barrier

We had an awesome stay - Unit has everything you need and in a great beach front location. Our host was amazing and helped us locate a cot and high chair and even met us at air port with a car seat.Thanks for the hospitality Di!

Dianne's peaceful haven

We had a wonderfully relaxing week. Di did everything she could to ensure that this happened. She was flexible with check in and check out times, She was so proactive in meeting anything that arose such as providing a space for our bikes in the garage and providing heating when the temperatures dropped unexpectedly. She was also a wealth of information about aspects of the island and with tips about activities and the best ways to go about things. While she was always available she always respected our privacy, and made us feel like we were in our own place. We loved everything about the situation and will return when we get the opportunity.

Slice of heaven

Private but moments from stunning Medlands beach. Got away from it all with no mobile reception or wifi (but some service on the beach if desperate). Thanks Dianne, we loved the Beach Hut.

Amazing stay

Thanks Di for the wonderful stay. The beach hut was comfortable had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Di was very accommodating and check in/out was a breeze. A quick walk across the road to the beach, it was the perfect location for a Medlands getaway. We would absolutely stay here again.

Holiday at the beach

We loved our stay at this little beach cabin, it is clean and tidy and has all you need for a relaxing summer holiday at the beach. The location is perfect with a short walk across the road and over the sand dunes to the beach.

Island paradise :)

We had a wonderful stay at the beach hut, using tents on the flat lawn to accomodate our overflow of teens. Such a magical location with the beach and good surfing waves a hop, skip and a jump over the dunes. Dianne was a relaxed and friendly hostess who we enjoyed some nice chats with over our time there. It had everything we needed for a holiday to remember. Thanks Di!

Medlands beach chalet
