Leigh Family Bach - Your perfect spot for a family getaway in the heart of Leigh

Relax in the comfort of our classic kiwi holiday home less than an hours drive from Auckland City. Enjoy lazy summer days on the huge covered terrace or cosy winters nights around the woodburner! Plenty of space for all the family.

Located in central Leigh
- just a 2 minute walk to the local shops and the Leigh Bar
- a 700m walk to the iconic Leigh Sawmill Cafe
- 1.3km to the beautiful sandy beach of Mathesons Bay

The bach has three queen bedrooms and a spacious bathroom inside and a fourth bedroom along with a second bathroom/laundry off the patio in the sleepout. A fully equipped kitchen and a huge lounge with woodburner and fold out sofa-bed. French doors open from the dining area out onto our large covered terrace and lovely fully fenced garden complete with tree swing and sandpit for the kids.

Many local attractions are just a short drive away, including; Goat Island Marine Reserve, Pakiri Surf Beach, the famous Matakana Markets and several local vineyards.

We booked the accommodation for two nights stay as we had a wedding to attend in Leigh. Great location and beautiful views. House was perfect for our small group of 8. Plenty of rooms and sleep out had own ensuite with laundry which was ideal. General store just up the road and the Sawmill cafe perfect location for dinner and drinks. We all enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking this house again in the near future.

The property was well set up for a family or extended family and central to Leigh & its local amenities. It was perfect for what we needed. I locked my self out accidentally and rang owner/management & was immediately fixed with a solution. Thank you for that. I would return to this property if I needed to stay up in this area again.

Spacious and comfortable bach, really enjoyed it!
This bach was great! Better than the photos. all 4 adults had their own space and the place felt light and sunny. The fire was awesome. Close to the Leigh fish and chip shop and we swam daily down at Mathesons. Very close to the Leigh fire station so we had a few loud sirens but this did not bother us as all.

Very clean and tidy. Beds comfortable and plenty of blankets. Plenty of room and private. Toilet seat was loose when we got there. In the booklet, the recycle day was actually the rubbish day. Beautiful location and relaxing. Loved walking around Leigh and surrounding areas. Locals friendly. Thanks very much. Would recommend to others.

Relaxed Beach House
Leigh is a relaxed beach town, small and friendly. This house is just the right kind of place to stay in while visiting the town. It is more funky than fancy, with a bedroom and bath tacked on the back. It is very comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of blankets, lots of books and DVDs. You can walk from the house to the Leigh Bar or the General Store (note: the General Store cannot accept foreign credit cards; bring cash). It's a short drive to Goat Island or Mathesons Bay Beach if you are beaching it, and not far to Matakana (you should eat at Matakana Kitchen) or SheepWorld for a demonstration of sheep herding and sheering. We had a great time and would highly recommend this rental home.

We enjoyed our stay - the property was very tidy and in a good location. We especially loved the fact that the bach is dog friendly and has a fenced back garden.

Very comfortable property. While there was an issue the owner was not aware of (caused by a 3rd party) their response was immediate, helpful and every endeavour was made to resolve the issue. You cannot ask for any more and gives you peace of mind . Thank you for this and we enjoyed our stay at your place.

The house was well appointed with plenty of space for 7 adults and all the luggage that comes with that. The house smelt a little musty on first opening but was clean and well appointed inside, although the beds were quite hard. The outside area was great to get together for a few drinks and a BBQ as well as great sun up on the grass. Our group had a great stay and would come back again.

A perfect base
Location was the first priority for us as it was twenty minutes away from family we were visiting. But regardless Leigh was a great place to start our holiday. Nice walks, lots to see just a short drive away. Returning after a days adventures we felt very much at home. plenty of space, good facilities and comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend it. Ideal family accomodation.

A lovely family bach — spacious, sunny and comfortable. Good kitchen and bathroom, and a great fenced outdoor area; ideal if you have a dog or young children.
