About this property

This sunny crib was built in the 1980s and is situated in the peaceful haven of Kelvin Heights, approx. 10 minutes drive from Frankton. There is two large double bedrooms on separate levels, with two single bedrooms upstairs. There are bathrooms on both levels. There is two living areas downstairs, one open plan with the Gallery kitchen. The house boasts views across to Queenstown and Ben Lomond, Cecil Peak and the Remarkables. Jardine Park at the rear of the property is a lovely reserve with a playground and croquet club. It is also the starting point for two walking tracks, one to Jacks Point, the other around the Kelvin Peninsula. This crib is a super spot for a family holiday or a quiet break away. The base of the Remarkables Ski Area is a short drive away, making this an ideal makeshift ski lodge.

Home away from home.

Loved this house. We all wished we could stay for a week. Beautiful views and everything you could need. Beds were so comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Queenstown.

Nice place in a lovely quiet area outside Queenstown with good views. The space is cosy and has a cottage feel to it, but plenty of space for everyone.

Relax in beauty

There are no bad views in the Queenstown area, but being on the south side of the lake gives you the addition of sun and a quieter pace. Having a downstairs bedroom was great for my elderly parents, the house could be warmed up quickly via the various heaters in the cold winter, and it was just 10 minutes to the Remarkable/Frankton shops.

Smell in the house

Hi We are happy with everything like I mentioned above except one thing which was the smell in house was bit annoying . I think that smell comes as the property is old. Anil

Perfect spot and everything that you need

This property is fantastic, with heaps of space and everything that you need away from home. Fantastic location to have peace and quiet, yet so easy to get to the CBD within minutes with the water taxi jetty a short walk away. We totally loved our stay and would definitely recommend this property 😀.

Great spot

Lovely home and great spot! Nice to be out of the main part of QT so we could explore more places and go into town as required. My only feedback would be that the seats in the lounge by the kitchen are very uncomfortable, and it would be nicer to have the lounge suite from the far lounge in by the kitchen so you can be more comfortable. It didn't make sense to use the 2nd lounge further away, just for the seats ;) Otherwise, lovely, and glad to have pretty comfortable beds.

Peaceful

30 minutes from Queenstown on the other side of the bay. That didn’t impact travel and in fact made shopping for groceries easier due to the proximity of a nearby Supermarket. It would have helped if some of the switches were labeled.

Beautiful and cozy

We had a great time at Janet and John place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The house is beautiful and feels cozy. Views from the house are amazing!! And Kelvin Heights beach is so close by walk from the house. Would absolutely recommend staying there!

Home from home….

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. This really is a home from home. Absolutely everything you could possibly need is provided, not only the ‘hardware’ but the ‘software’ too, in abundance. A fully stocked pantry, washing and cleaning materials, personal care products, hairdryer, games for kids and adults, books, tv’s, fabulous outdoor areas, sun room…..I couldn’t possibly list everything that is provided. I can’t recommend highly enough and we will definitely book here again. Thank you J and J for a fabulous holiday x

Peaceful and comfortable

This place is very homely and peaceful with beautiful views. Great setup for a family. Location not right in Queenstown which we preferred - very easily to get anywhere. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend.
