Step back into Pukehina history with this spacious, family friendly Kiwiana Bach with an outside shower to wash off the salt after a swim!

Enclose yourself in the atmosphere of this great family property, from the fully fenced section to the great covered outdoor area for entertaining and BBQs with plenty of casual seating to enjoy socialising with friends and family.

A delightfully comfortable holiday home, encouraging easy relaxed living for the ultimate holiday. Just across the road to beach and quad bike access, a short stroll to parks and the “The Store” for those ice-creams & fish'n'chips.

The extra large fully fenced section is ideal for outdoor games and fun in the sun while being safe for kids and pets. The kids bunkroom upstairs boasts beds for 5 so the kids can have their own escape.

Enjoy boogie boarding or surfing, diving, kayaking or just walking the beach admiring our spectacular views out to Motiti and White Island. Experience the red clay cliffs, amazing bird and sea life of nature’s wonder, all here waiting to be explored.....

Pukehina Beach is also a great base to discover the rest of the Bay of Plenty - only 10 mins to Te Puke Golf Club, 15 mins to Te Puke, 20 minutes to Papamoa, 30 minutes to Mt. Maunganui and Tauranga (via toll road), and 40 minutes to Rotorua or Whakatane - all along excellent roads. If you need to refuel the boat, a petrol station is only 5 mins away.

Please bring your own beach towels - all other linen is provided.
Bring your own food and toiletries - basic washing and kitchen items supplied.
The local dairy has some supplies with great fish n chips if you feel like taking a night off from cooking.

Big and basic

A good size for our whole family of 5 to stay in. Section is fully fenced but not ideal for small dogs (ours snuck under a gap in the fence and did a runner). Inside smelt a bit odd when we arrived but cleared after we left doors open for a while. The shower water doesn't get very hot and the water pressure is weak. Lots of space for kids to hang out which was good as we were rained in for the majority of our stay. Appreciated the books and puzzle games available to keep us entertained a bit.

Great family bach by the beach

Perfect traditional bach for our family holiday! Just across the road from the beach, plenty of space in the fenced section and all the amenities you need. We loved that we could bring our dog too! The undercover area is great for shelter on windy evenings and there’s plenty of seating areas to enjoy inside and outside. The beach is so nice and quiet compared to others in the area like Papamoa. It’s also in a great spot to explore other beaches and towns nearby like The Mount and Whakatāne. Great communication from Jody and easy to check in/out. We’ve already booked to go back next year!

Awesome Living Space.

A wonderful Bach for everyone to have their own space. Gnarly beach (please swim only between the flags 5km up the road - Pukehina Surf Livesavers are amazing. Don’t risk getting into trouble - it’s too changeable and the rips are really strong).

Sunny traditional bach

Relaxed and easy care. Lots of space for different inerests and short walk to Beach. Beach not swimmable at nearest end but a short drive to other end of road for better safer options. The dog loved it too.

Great family bach

Had everything we needed including kitchen stuff, fans and multi plugs. There were different areas which made it good so everyone wasn’t on top of each other. Only downside with kids is flagged beach area is 5min away however it is only a couple of minutes walk to get to the beach. Would stay there again

Stay at a real kiwi bach

If you want the traditional kiwi bach holiday then this is the place to stay, we stayed here with our grownup kids and our Grandkids. There were plenty of beds and space for us all. We did spend a lot of time outside in the undercover bbq area which was fabulous and cooler than inside the bach. The beach is just across the road, parks and the diary are just a short walk up the road. Overall a fabulous holiday.

Great kiwi bach!

We really enjoyed our time! Great location, great outdoor space for summer dinners. Great setup with rooms, we thoroughly enjoyed our time. A few things were not as well as we would have liked tho- Fridge/ bbq not clean well, one hobtop hardly turned off and toaster didn’t work properly. Apart from these minor things we were very happy with the place and would go back again.

Awesome Beach Home

Very cosy feel to the home. The outside shower was great addition. Plenty of outdoor space, we were all able to fit around the tables and chat. I would recommend to others. Thanks Jody.

House was basically fine but a little tired. Comfortable and clean but few things like pepper and salt would have been appreciated. Also we were required to oil the bbq after use but no oil provided! There were 2 average size pots but no lids to fit them. Overall it was ok and adequate. Outdooor bbq area was good particularly if it had been wet. It’s also inconvenient having to bring blankets or duvets as well. Sheets etc fine. I would be very hesitant about upstairs room with the steepness of the stairs
