Great views at the Point

Welcome to our clean and comfy family bach. One Tree Point is an attractive holiday location less than 2 hours from Auckland and 20 minutes from Whangarei.

With just a short stroll to the beach it is a great area for water activities such as swimming, boating, kayaking and fishing. The bach is a few minutes walk (100m) to a safe swimming beach and has lovely views of Whangarei Harbour and Mt Manaia.

The property is flat with off street parking for plenty of cars or your boat. We are centrally positioned, with "all tide" boat ramps located within 5 minutes on either side of the bach.

The facilities at Marsden Cove Marina include a fuel jetty and a free electric vehicle charging station. This is less than 2km away, has a fabulous café restaurant with great views of boats at their moorings and a selection of services and shops.

A 10 minute drive will take you to Ruakaka Town Centre where there is a small range of shops including: supermarkets, food retailers, medical services and personal care facilities. Should you desire a larger choice of restaurants, retail therapy, pampering, bar hopping or a movie night, then Whangarei City is a 30 minute drive. En route to Whangarei is Longview Estate (wine tastings at the right time of year may include 'White Diamonds', which has a cult following).

Special Conditions:
- Smoking is allowed outside only.
- Pets are welcome (with prior approval) if you clean up after them in every respect and ensure they keep off the furniture so the bach stays nice for all to enjoy, there are no fences.
- Deck has netting along the sides but small children should be supervised at all times.
- Duvets and blankets are provided and you are expected to bring your own linen such as sheets, towels and tea towels.
- Caravans and tents need prior approval, please email first.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to do the dishes, take your trash with you and bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels).

cozy beach front getaway
A sweet little spot that is super close to some amazing beaches. The house is cozy and instantly made us feel relaxed. The restaurant/cafe is a mere 5 min drive away, there really is nothing else we could ask for a bach. Really enjoyed our stay and defo will be coming back, thanks Clint!

Epic Kiwi Bach Experience
We had an awesome time at this place. 2 mins to the water, all amenities catered for locally. Took me back to holidays as a kid. Property was so clean on arrival, and very grateful general kitchen consumables were covered such as oil and salt and pepper, would have been doomed without. Happy New Year to our hosts, we hope to be back. Thank you!

The Negatives: The information on the property should include that there are 10 steps up to it. The house is supposed to be pet friendly but there is no fencing and it is right beside a main road. There isnt even a gate on the deck. The house is quite cold also and the tv is not reliable. The oven is not working well, it took us over an hour to cook a pizza. The Positives; The area is lovely and the beds were super comfortable. The house was clean and had a lovely view, however there were a number of issues with it.

Sweet neighborhood
This is a good no frils house priced to fit any budget. We were here for Cyclone Gabriel and had awesome views of Marsden bay and only lost power and internet for a bit. The host was awesome, checking in with us each morning. The night sky is WOW. We'll be back again. It's a great retreat even if you live in the Northland.

Great communication and easy check in process. Its a bach, just like its listed, good value for price. No screens, so beware of mossy's. Very clean, bed was comfy. Unfortunately we didn't get good weather.
