Perfect!

Such a beautiful home on a super cove! If you want a quiet vacation away from the noisy traffic and tourists this is the place! I would recommend that you bring food since there are not many stores or restaurants nearby.

Gorgeous Sunsets

This beautiful home boasts an absolutely gorgeous view. The best of any rental we have had. The set up worked well for us. My 90 year old mother enjoyed the huge master suite on the main floor. My husband and I used the queen bedroom downstairs. We had all the important things we needed for a good stay.

i do not like to give a low rating, but the communication was awful. Good not get in touch with the host on check in day to get the code for the house to get in. Have used vrbo 11 times first time leaving a low rating did not like doing this but when you do not have the house code the day of check in thats not good.

Fun vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time! Everything was as described, beautiful view of the water! Great fishing and very nice neighborhood! Host was quick to respond to my questions. Grand kids said it was the best vacation ever and wanted to stay all summer. We would definitely like to stay here again!

Rest, relaxation and fun! Samantha & Kim were excellent and right on top of all our needs. Beautiful home. And beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Very very spacious home.

Ohio family vacation

We travel all over the place and was very happy with our stay in Georgia. The accommodations at the house were good. We liked using the kayak at the lake. It was nice that towels and linens were included along with some toiletries.

Scam

The house was not clean to begin with. We found a pill box laying around. That would not have been good if a small child had gotten ahold of it. After we left the charged me $400.00 for a broken ice machine and a stain that was on the floor. I know for a fact that this was not the case. Yes the ice machine was not dispensing but it was not a big deal we just used our cooler. I just assumed they left it not working because the house was not taken of to begin with. This was a family trip and not one person was drinking so I think we would have noticed if someone spilt something or broke the ice maker. The carpet was not clean to begin with so not sure how they track every single stain. They said the stain was in the master bedroom and no one ever even took a drink in there. My parents used that room and only went in there to sleep and shower. If you stay here make sure you take picture of everything.

Perfect place for our adult family

I have stayed in no less than 30 VRBO properties. This is the first one that I found “under represented” in photos. The hosts provided detailed info long before visit. They were responsive to any inquiry. The house is exactly as described. Generous sized bedrooms, adequate bathrooms and a very open eating, dining, and living space with a very large balcony. Plenty of seating for we seven adults. The view is lovely from the house and balcony. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and evening cocktails on the dock. Our stay was too short and weather not good for lake recreation or much fishing. We prepared several meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. Only advice is take what you need as far as food, snacks, etc as it is quite a ways to commodities or restaurants by car. The site tells us that though. Just believe it. You can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a retreat. Just book it.

PERFECT!

None better. We enjoyed our days here! House and lake were absolutely perfect! Samantha and Kim were great hosts. They checked a few times to make sure things we had a great stay! I would only say, bring food since there are no close restaurants.

Weekend Trip

Loving Home

This house was just what my family and i needed, it was packed with all the utensils and more that was needed for the day to day. The view from any level of the home looking over the lake was truly amazing. It was clean, well taken care of, and Samantha responded to messages quick and was very helpful. I will definitely recommend this homse and will definitely visit again.

Amazing!!

Renting at the Mermaid Cove was amazing! The house was equipped with everything we needed. I loved it was cozy but spacious at the same time! The kids enjoyed the bottom floor with their games while adults were either prepping meals or enjoying lake with their fishing supplies! They stay was awesome! If i had to say anything negative it would have to be that the nearest store is about 35mins. But when you compare it to the views and comfort, it’s totally worth it!!

Beautiful & quiet getaway

My daughter & I spent 3 nights & 3 days here. The houseplan was perfect for us. It was well furnished & comfortable including the mattresses. The view was absolutely beautiful. Our only negative was the kitchen which had not been cleaned very well. It was lacking in some key utensils ie a ladle & a working can opener. The freezer froze up too. Regardless we enjoyed ourselves immensely & would return for another visit. Thank you for your prompt response to our inquiries before & during our stay.

Lakefront Property w/ Amazing View

This place was absolutely amazing! Kim was in constant contact making sure everything went well. The view is breathtaking! It was so serene and relaxing. The photos truly tell the story! We were able to spread out and enjoy time alone since the house is so spacious. There are three levels and the kitchen and laundry room are well stocked for all your needs. Even the dog's toys were stocked. We will certainly be back.

Great Lake house

We had an awesome time at this beautiful lake house! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax! We had a great time hanging out on the dock and the kids loved hanging out downstairs at night playing games. Even our dogs had the best time jumping off the dock and swimming! We will definitely rent this lake house again!

Wonderful stay!!

We had the best time at this beautiful lake house! The view was perfect with an open water view in a quiet cove. We loved floating in our tubes off the dock and using the kayak provided by the owners. We appreciated the 2 living spaces as well as the upstairs and downstairs decks. The grassy lawn was a plus for a toddler who couldn’t go in the water. Kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels provided for our group. Owners were helpful and responsive to questions. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. We would love to visit again!!

Family Lake Trip

We enjoyed our stay at this Kim and Samantha's lake house ! The main level looks way bigger in the photos, but it's still a great space and the sun does not quit, be sure to close the blinds to keep it cool! Very clean and cozy. Master bedroom suite is perfect! Basement space was great for our families to have their own privacy. Lake is great for swimming and floating! Stunning views ! Neighborhood is beautiful and seemed safe ! We really enjoyed our experience! Thank you!

Amazing Family Vacation!!

What can I say about this property. We have been looking and looking for a place we could come back to every year and this is it! The house was immaculate! The decor was perfect. So many little touches like having things labeled for ease when looking for stuff. The dock was perfect for floating around by. The kids enjoyed the kayak too. We couldn’t really think of anything negative during our stay. Yes the location is more remote, but that is what we were looking for. 10/10 recommend! Thank you for sharing your home!

We love traveling and collect coffee mugs from all our destinations. We've included some at the home for you to enjoy!

Why they chose this property

We shopped for months for this really special home. Being able to see unobstructed views of the lake from the home was most important to us, along with a great open space to enjoy it all. We wanted a space where 2 families or more could come and still be at peace and enjoy their own space and experience.
