Smart and tidy cottage close to CBD.

Kelburn is one of Wellingtons inner city suburbs. Located above the CBD and a stones throw from the Harbour and Te Papa. We are handy to bus transport and the cable car. The Botanical gardens are on our doorstep and for the keen walker it is approx 35 mins walk to Westpac Stadium. The main restaurant area of Te Aro and the entertainment precinct in Courtenay Place are both approx 20 mins walk. The Wellington International airport is some 15 min drive depending on the time of day and the Airport flyer (bus transport to and from the airport) stops along from the bottom of the cable car. The Interislander Ferry terminal is approximately 10 mins drive away and the other ferry, Bluebridge some 7 mins drive.
Kelburn Village offers cafes, boutique shopping and a range of service retailers ie hairdresser, pharmacy and general store.
The cottage is a one room, self contained building with separate ensuite, and a short walk down from the road.
It is bright and warm and compact. A perfect place for a weekend break or a longer stay in Wellington.
Special conditions:
The cottage is a very short walk down ( steps and path) so is not suitable for wheelchair access.
Linen is included as is tea plunger coffee and milk.

Cute cottage in central Wellington
We had a great stay in Kelburn. The cottage is close to the botanical gardens and cable car, and only a short distance to the CBD. We also had parking for our hire car, which otherwise appeared limited around the city. The hosts were wonderful and friendly. We did have issues with the WiFi and were unable to connect throughout our stay, but I know this would not be the norm; just that the hosts were away during our trip. Thank you for having us!!

Final stop of our NZ holiday
We did not hire a car for Wellington and with this conveniently located property, we made use of walking, buses and the magnificent cable car. With Kelburn village around the corner we were able to sightsee plus act as if we were locals; bakery, restaurants, cafe etc. Will definitely stay again.

Set on the side of the hill in Kelburn, the property is only a couple minutes' walk away from the cable car station. It is super clean. The host Brenda is very helpful, and we felt very welcome. We had a lovely stay.

As an artist, writer, poet, I couldn't have found a better property or spot to stay in on my visit to Central Wellington. Warm, cosy, private and contained. I delighted in the tuis in the trees in the skylight. The electric blanket on when I arrived... Felt like a sweet colonial little 'cottage' - with all amenities. I could have stayed a long time. Perfect for us - short walk from the top of the cable car, really close to Botanic Garden and Observatory/Space Centre. Great location, fabulous views and terrific hosts. As everywhere in Wellington - lots of hills and stairs so not an option for anyone with mobility issues. Even lugging a heavy suitcase up and down stairs can be a struggle; otherwise, highly recommended!
