Rustic 2 Bedroom home nestled in the Bethells area.
Stunning views of Bethells Beach and the Sand Dunes that lead to the beautiful Lake Wainamu. Relax and unwind in this Bach surrounded by natural beauty and birdsong. In the day hear the birdsong of the Tui and in the evening listen out for the unmistakable call of the Ruru (Morepork) Owl.

Only nature at it's very best.
This beautiful bach is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. Or a quick 2 minute drive to the beach for a walk along Bethells beach or a surf over the hill at the well know O'Neils surf beach.
In the summer there is the Bethells Cafe which offer food and beverages.
A beautiful location for a winter escape, rug up and explore the beach and then come home and relax in front of a roaring fire.
A 10 minute drive will take you back to the Waitakere Golf club.
You have the luxury of privacy of a whole house, offering value for money and accommodating up to 8 people.
We have wi-fi at the bach and a land line for local calls. There is now a mobile tower in the area so you can stay connected. .

Pets allowed with prior approval.

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$100.00 per stay); This is to assure you have the most comfortable stay possible along with clean linen.
This includes sheets, towels, hand towels and tea towels, you do need to bring your own beach towels.

We enjoyed our stay here. Had everything we needed. The view from the bedroom and sound of crashing waves are not to be missed. We found the extensive list of rules a bit over the top, particularly the rules around no visitors I believe would struggle to be upheld under the rules of short term rental - I would really encourage the owners to rethink this - you have a beautiful property that people want to respect - the rules are so extensive that they almost have the opposite effect on people.

A lovely spot for a family getaway.
Both us parents and the kids loved Ruru cottage. Tidy and cosy, there was lots to keep the kids entertained at the cottage. And heaps to keep us all entertained in the local area. Thanks again for having us.

Another amazing stay -we love this place. Average weather didn’t matter when we walked along the beach, watched old-school dvds, sat by the fire and played lots of games. Spotlessly clean and so welcoming. Thanks for letting us enjoy Ruru cottage. Mānawatia a Matariki!

Such a peaceful and serene location. The house is a perfect little retreat, great beach access.

A charming cottage for a family getaway, we couldn't have asked for more. The house was exceptionally clean, the communication excellent, and the location breathtaking. We played many board games and watched a few DVDs, it was exactly the holiday we were after. We'd definitely return to Ruru Cottage.

We enjoyed our stay at Ruru Cottage. Unfortunately the cyclone hit this area hard and many areas were closed down. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our walks on Bethells Beach. Ruru Cottage was well equipped communications with Paula were excellent.

Picturesque Paradise
Great location with the lake, beach and Bethells to Muriwai walk all a close walk from the property. Stunning views of the ocean and such a great site seeing the sun go down. The house was super tidy and had plenty of games, dvd’s and CD’s to play if you wanted to relax inside. Highly recommend it.

Great place to stay to get out of the city!
Loved the country feel in the house , my kids got to use there imagination with Lego and big blocks. Minutes from the most beautiful beach , lined with places to explore. The host was very easy to deal with and very accommodating! Thank you for allowing us to feel at home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bethel's Beach. Loved that there were lots of board games and the swing on the deck! Very relaxing. An outdoor tap would have been helpful!! But all in all, thank you!!!!
