About this property

Country experience not far from town

Accommodation is located in a summer fruit orchard, surrounded by fruit trees and with an elevated view to the Tuki Tuki River and Te Mata Peak.

The 40m2 two bedroom flat enjoys all day sun, with the lounge opening to a deck and outdoor area. One of the things to look forward is to relax in the outdoor bath and sauna.

Perfect choice if you enjoy the country lifestyle, outdoor activities, knowing that coffee shops, restaurants, wineries and shops are only a short drive away.

Although the flat is positioned next to one of the houses, grounds are separated to ensure privacy and a relaxed atmosphere.
The Tuki Tuki river flows alongside the property and can be accessed by a 5min walk providing opportunities for swimming, kayaking, trout fishing, white baiting and duck shooting. Walking shoes or boots are recommended as the grass and fennel plants are sometimes long.

Our property is located 15kms from Clive, 16kms from Havelock North, 20kms from Hastings and 25kms fromNapier.

One of many Hawke's Bay cycle tracks starts at the property boundary, allowing you to explore the surroundings by bike. The track leads to Haumoana, Clive and Havelock North. Two adult bikes are available on request.

Te Mata Peak, a popular tourist attractions, is only 20 minutes drive away, providing stunning views over Hawke's Bay as well as several trails for hikers and mountain bikers.

Cape Kidnappers 18 hole award-winning golf course is only a short drive away as well as other golf courses.
You could also explore the world's largest mainland gannet colony on Cape Kidnappers .

Feel of a simpler time
With its simple decoration and layout and in the middle of a working orchard this cottage reminded me of baches of yesteryear. But it still had all you'd want for a comfortable stay and was very sensibly priced. We were very happy with our stay.

Clean quiet with great host
Spotlessly clean and well equiped house. Lovely and quiet in the country. Very friendly host (Tina) with excellent communication prior to stay. Beds unusually comfortable for a rental. My husband had a spa which he really enjoyed. We had our car so only a short trip into Napier.

Orchard getaway
This was a perfect getaway among orchards (many of them in blossom at this time of year). There was space around the house and the river nearby to keep the kids occupied, but it was just a short drive to Havelock North with dining, honey tasting etc. We enjoyed the outside bath, sauna and Netflix. The kids loved the two (adult) bikes as well. And the birdsong in the morning was almost deafening. Thanks for the lovely stay (the owners we never met :)!

Away from it all!
It was a great "experience to be away from it all" inland of Haumoana. The location is on a large orchard, with great views of the Tukituki River. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Thanks.

Tranquility Plus!
I stayed here the night before my wedding with my 2 bridesmaids, and we got ready here in the morning. My new husband and I then stayed the night of the wedding. From the word go, Tina and Joe were so accommodating. They gave us access to the river for the photos we wanted on our wedding day, and offered a late check out. Beautiful location, lovely clean cottage - the only problem was we didn't have time to use the outdoor bath or sauna!!! Highly recommend - if we ever need a quick local getaway, I know where to go!

Great spot for us. Out in the country. Private enough. Quiet. Washing machine - great cause we were volunteering. Good communication. Easy check in process. Plenty of parking. Nice outlook. Good kitchen for cooking or reheating.

I'm originally from Brazil, with German background and work as a teacher. My husband grew up on the property and currently runs this summer fruit orchard. We have two children aged 10 and enjoy spending time together or exploring the outdoors. We have traveled around and enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. We want our guests to have a great experience when visiting Hawke's Bay. We preferably enjoy having couples and families staying since we like to maintain a peaceful and family environment.
