Great private accomodation

We had a lovely stay, our flights were delayed so we checked in late and the host Donna was so wonderful and kind, she had turned the heaters on to warm the house up prior to our arrival. Beautiful private location. We will stay again.

A lovely fresh, clean Bach with beautiful garden and birdsong

This was a perfect place to stay after a long flight from England. Only 40 mins from the airport. Lovely and clean with all that was needed for our 3 night stay. We could completely relax and recover. Great hosts and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Heavenly haven

This is a unique peaceful, quiet,and spiritual haven. Stress relief guaranteed. We all loved the homeliness and proximity to everywhère western,only 5 minutes to shops, if needed. We cant wait to go again. The hosts were kind and made us feel really welcome, cant wait to go again.

Perfect in every way

We were staying over two nights to attend a family in Piha, and travelling with my 81 year old Mum, who has mobility issues. This was the perfect home for her and the extended family was able to pop in before the ceremony to say hello. Plenty of lovely deck space to spread out on without getting under each other's feet.

2 day stay while traveling.

Me and my partner are traveling the area and chose this property for a two night stay. Even though we were late arriving, the host met us and showed us around. Everything that was needed was available. The was tea and coffee and many pantry items. Everything was nice and clean. The bedding was good and the garden was beautiful. It worked very well for a two day stop on a driving trip.

Palm Haven - a stunning retreat

Super clean. Everything you could need, and supermarkets a short distance away for everything else. Donna & Michael are friendly & helpful without being intrusive. Location is quiet & private, but easy to find. We can't wait to come back & stay - which says a lot, because we don't like Auckland! Thank you so much Donna & Michael.

Quaint and Clean

The cabin is quite well stocked, clean and the beds are really comfortable. Our only issues as trying to find the place and would encourage everyone to print off Donna’s detailed instructions before you travel as the GPS and internet are spotty to say the least. Also, the place could be more clearly marked and the road up to the property is very narrow and challenging. We also had to kill a few moths and spiders which wasn’t pleasant. If you need a place to get aways from the city, then this is it!!

Wet Weekend

A cute little bach in a beautiful setting, probably lovely when the sun is shining. Unfortunately our stay was during the worst rainfall on record for Auckland. We were in Auckland to attend the Elton John Concert and that was a wash out, power was lost to the bach for around 36 hours so cold showers and difficulty charging our phones, no internet so the emails from the owners were difficult to access, and limited cellphone coverage. They finally delivered a gas cooker so we could make a cup of tea. Covered deck came in handy for all our sodden clothes. Luckily the access didn't wash out. Power guys turning up at 11.30pm was disconcerting but didn't achieve anything. Take your mossie repellent, they were vicious.

Comfortable, clean, and VERY quiet

Donna and Michael were the perfect hosts: available for questions and providing quick and concise answers, but left us on our own otherwise. The property was very well appointed. There was nothing that we wanted that wasn’t there. It was very clean and comfortable. While the rural setting was fantastic (how many places in the world can you have unscreened windows and doors wide open all night while feeling totally secure AND be untroubled by insects!?!?), it was a two minute drive to the Swanson Train Station and a 50 minute ride to the Auckland Harbour. The peaceful setting more than compensated for the “lost” time. In addition there was no driving stress nor parking problems. The property was *outstanding* value. On a scale of 1 to 5, this would earn a 7! We would make this our first choice when returning to the Auckland area. And, yes, the peacock did display every morning and evening!

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einem excellenten Cottage

Wir haben uns in dem sehr schönen, ruhigen und abgeschlossenen Haus sehr wohl gefühlt, und würden sofort wieder kommen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit und fürsorglich gewesen. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Lage ist wunderschön in einem herrlichen Garten.
