About this property

A spacious, comfortable cottage in a beautiful tranquil setting back from the road. 50 metres from Birdwoods Gallery. 3 minutes to restaurants and boutique shopping in Havelock North. Walk around Endsleigh Road (a loop road) for wonderful views - about 50 mins. 10 mins to Te Mata Peak for more views and well defined walking and mountain bike tracks. Use our free bikes to enjoy the Hawkes Bay bike trails extending from Napier and Hastings to Havelock North and surrounds.
We always have spare carrots for our pet donkeys Humphrey and Winston. Our tabby cat Gladys is also on site.
We have a great collection of books for you to read. Guests will often post them back if they haven't quite finished when they leave.

Charming cottage in beautiful and peaceful location

Middle Cottage is a lovely little character cottage just minutes drive from the centre of Havelock North. My husband, daughter and I had a lovely three nights there whilst visiting family in the area. The cottage is very quiet and peaceful, the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Loved seeing all the beautiful old NZ timbers in the doors and floors, and the re-use and repurposing of materials. And such lovely gardens too. Enjoyed our coffee each morning on the lovely little decks. Would happily stay here again.

Country Cottage

It was an extremely cold & wet weekend in Havelock North and the cottage was cold. There was 4 heaters in the cottage and we had them on day and night. The back door lock was difficult to navigate so we locked it from the outside and only used the front door. Found treats in the fridge, a lovely surprise.

Beautiful, private and peaceful.

Very clean, very peaceful. Loved all the birds and the amazing fruit trees. Really enjoyed eating the fresh oranges from the tree.

Do yourself a favour and book this!

This property was just magic. Although the pictures were lovely, they really don't do it justice - we were all quite taken aback at the thoughtfulness that went into ensuring all the little nick nacks were in keeping with the period of the home. The grounds are just gorgeous and the recommendation for local eats by Margie was en pointe. The only negative for us was that we couldn't stay longer!

A gorgeous place with such an inviting and peaceful feel! Definitely recommend!

The property manager directed us to the location. Had a beautifully peaceful evening and made bacon and eggs for breakfast which were provided!

A peaceful and wonderful setting amongst trees and greeneries!

All went well. The laundry with washing machine and dryer was a great . Spacious house with all amenities and generous provisions for breakfast and more. Thank you.
