Easy level access straight to the front door perches you on the spot for awesome long sunsets over a glass of wine. Stroll to the Mercer Bay cliffs to catch the green flash at sunset. Check the surf to plan your day or simply turn left or right at the gate and you are on the world-famous Hillary Trail. A 5 minute drive downhill takes you to Piha with shop, eateries, art gallery, and of course the beach. A 5 minute drive in the opposite direction gets you to karekare, a beach made famous in numerous films. Or take a 30 minute downhill track to Karekare Beach and explore remote Whatipu beyond. Ahu is blessed by its location close to the Mercer Bay Loop which leads to Comans Track and Karekare.
