Great place to stay-comfortable beds and spacious living
It was short family get away. Weather wasn’t the greatest but nice place to stay to swim in the lake, and short drive to places to hike and cozy towns. Had all the basic kitchen and bath amenities. Place was very clean and comfortable. Didn’t need to communicate with owners, everything went smoothly.
Took parents on a road-trip to honeymoon destinations. They have been married 62 years. Lake Dunmore was a great central location in Vermont and to our itinerary.
We were extremely happy with the Keewaydin Suite. The location was beautiful. The decor was great. Booking and communication was easy and trouble free. We would definitely consider this spot again.
Only two suggestions. Only one bedroom had any storage space. For a longer stay we would like to really unpack. All rooms need a dresser or armoire. Also the bathroom underwhelmed in finish in comparison to the rest of suite. If we stayed longer or had a few more people another half bath would be needed. We read the description and knew this was the case.
This does not draw back from the pleasant experience and still give 5 stars.
This suite was the perfect size for our family! Great location on lake, access to amenities of Waterhouses, and very clean inside! The staff is very helpful and friendly. We hope to come back next summer!
Clean and spacious - just as listed and convenient to lake, hiking trails and Middlebury. Loved the barn and would love to stay here again when we’re back in the area.
House was spacious and clean, Stuart was easy to contact even helped us get boat slip and place for jet skis, great location Already booked same place next yr
We had a great stay. Curtis was great answering any questions right away. The barn/suite is much larger than it appears in the photos. High ceilings, really pretty home. Grill was very clean as was everything else. The bathroom has grab bars by the toilet and in shower. Fold down shower chair. Wheelchair accessible . My ONLY suggestion would be a hand held shower head because the spray doesn’t reach if you are sitting in the shower. Otherwise, fantastic. Pet friendly.
Lake is beautiful right across the way. We will come back for sure. Docks/beach area is very accessible with a walkway and packed down sand. I highly recommend the keewaydin suite and the Waterhouses property.
The property was very clean and spacious. We were right across the street from Lake Dunmore, and our dog loved the water. Huge kitchen with new state of the art appliances, a nice big dining table and a comfy living area with a nice selection of books. The TV reception was meh, but we weren't really there to watch tv. Four stars for the checkin process was primarily bc I couldn't figure out how to open the lockbox for about 20 minutes. All in all, a great stay at a great property.
The kitchen was very dirty, I'm happy I brought a package of Lysol wipes. I had to wash the microwave turntable, which was covered in grease. The handles of each appliance were crusty and needed scrubbing down. The freezer had pieces of food in the back. The countertops all needed a good Lysol scrub. Disgusting. The stovetop had bits of dried hamburger and grease on the grill. The outside grill was too dirty to use.
The house overlooked a parking lot shared with the houses around it, not a lake, as pictured.
Most important to us was that in a time of COVID we were NOT in a sanitary and clean environment. Never again, Vrbo.
We checked in on a Saturday afternoon and stayed until Monday for a weekend getaway and visit with our daughter at Middlebury. The unit was spacious and comfortable for all of us and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook a few meals. The setting was beautiful and relaxing as the remainder of the fall colors were in full glory. We enjoyed long walks around the lake. We will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed the location! Very comfortable accommodations! Easy access to the lake. The docks were a perfect place to introduce our 5 and 9 year old grandkids to fishing. Had a great time!
