Hyatt Lake Mountain Retreat

Take a trip back in history to one of the first structures built in what was then, Hyatt Meadows by the original settlers, the Barron family. Rustic charm, cozy as can be, mountain cabin with great views and modern amenities; basic furnished kitchen, dishwasher, gas BBQ grill, TV-DVD, Wi-Fi. Two bedroom plus loft, one bath, 3 queen beds, one twin (sleeps seven). Everything you need for the perfect get-away with family or friends. Two local restaurants just minutes away at The Green Springs Inn or The Hyatt Resort. Adventure awaits; rent Kayaks and paddle about Hyatt Lake, fish, hike, hunt, boat, sail, trail ride, all summer and fall long! Access the snow park sled hill for snow fun in the winter and return to a toasty fire in the fireplace!.

Lovely Cabin

We had a great week relaxing and fishing at Howard Prairie Lake. The cabin was cozy and clean. We enjoyed the birds and the stars were amazing. We will return to this slice of Heaven near Crater Lake! Plenty of room outdoors for family fun!

Peaceful and Comfortable

The house was so cozy and comfortable. A sit on the porch swing and the lovely view of the prairie and lake! Host was so helpful and so accommodating!!

Hide away!

Cozy and relaxing stay

We stayed for two nights and had a very good time. We specially loved the detailed decoration, the good equipped kitchen and the fireplace. This is the perfect place for a getaway from work.

Cozy cabin, great location

We came up to do some short hikes on the Pacific Crest Trail, and this is a great location for that -- there are a bunch of trailheads in the vicinity that are easy to get to. When not hiking, we had a cozy cabin to lounge around in with all of the amenities and a lovely view out the living room window. We especially appreciate the flexibility in being able to bring our dogs with us. Thanks, Don!

Country cabin

If you want away from everything this is your place. Very quiet and peaceful. Loved the porch setting and enjoyed porch swing. The view was beautiful. Got a visit from two cute pups early one morning from close by :) We had fun riding the go cart and power scooter, wish the grass in the field was a bit shorter there is some logs/wood in the grass that is a shocker when you hit it lol… overall great getaway

Beautiful cabin will all the amenities

The cabin is beautiful, quiet, clean, and with all the amenities. The view from the back deck is also beautiful with the water, trees, and lots of nature to appreciate. The only disappointment was that access to the lake was not ideal for kayaking. Nevertheless, we enjoyed badmitten, horseshoes, and playing games so it provided great family time. Don was easy and quick to communicate with.

Will be returning!

Came with family for a "glamping" weekend (some of us can still camp in tents and some of us can't). Was a perfect balance of nature and amenities. Spent much time on the porch enjoying the milder weather in the hills. Put up a tent, and the kids (21 and 24) enjoyed the outdoor experience, while us old folks with CPAPs slept indoors. Had lots of fun with the frisbee golf and horseshoes. Close to great trails. Had friends and family for dinners cooked on the grill. So fun! The cabin itself is an amazing mix of modern conveniences and rustic history, and decorated accordingly! Count us as future regulars.

Away from everything

This was a great place! We enjoyed playing horseshoes, badminton, and cooking s’mores and spending time with the family. It was great to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property is beautiful!

Nice cabin

Cabin was cute and cozy. As described from the photos. We were disappointed we could t really swim in the lake that is right next to the cabin since it is a bit marshy, but under no circumstances was that listed to that way, so no qualms. Just more of a heads up for others.

Lovely Cabin

Incredibly charming

What a wonderful getaway. My husband and I and our 2 dogs Chester and Marley stayed 2 nites. It was very comfortable. We never left the cabin. Don was very accommodating. we will stay again next time we go to Oregon.

acres and acres to walk

A wonderful cabin with everything you could need. Full kitchen and hot on-demand heat and shower. There were 3 bedrooms and 4 beds to choose from so I picked the loft with a view out onto hundreds of acres of grassy walks. I would watch the sun rise over the grassy plateau beyond the hills where the Pacific Crest trail passes through just a mile away. Each morning and eve I walked my young border collie for over an hour towards the very low Hyak reservoir. I would make coffee and sit out on the porch or out on the lawn and read. Ashland is 25 miles away but it’s a nice drive and if you need to get away but have all the conveniences and entertainment less than an hour away this is the place.

Perfect and Private

This cabin was a perfect option for me and my family to be away from the noise of the city. The cabin was comfortable and clean, it had all the amenities that you could need. For such an old and historic structure, the inside was updated and user friendly, including a lovely kitchen and bathroom. The wall heaters kept us toasty at night. Our puppy really enjoyed the back yard open space that looks right on to the lake/marsh. We would 100% stay again.

Beautiful and clean cabin

My three friends and I had a great time at this cabin! We had plenty of space to sleep, everyone got their own bed which we loved. It was a very quiet area with the occasional cars passing through. We sat outside in the morning for our coffee and at night to wind down. We would definitely come back to stay here!
