Stay Away- unsafe property and horrible experience
We made the mistake of renting this property, and it turned out to be a nightmare from start to finish. We never even spent a single night here, yet the owner took our moneyUpon arriving at the property, we immediately decided it was not safe to stay. The house was insecure, with major safety issues like a patio with no wall separating it from the interior, no door to secure the outdoor area, and a balcony with no door adjacent to a bedroom—again, no door. These issues made us feel unsafe, especially traveling with our children.In addition to the unsafe conditions, getting into the property was a nightmare. Check-in was at 4 PM, but we didn’t receive the address or instructions until 8 PM, and we spent hours calling and messaging the owner with no response. When we finally got access, it was only to find more problems. We didn’t even have a key or keypad to enter, so each time we needed to get in, we had to call someone else to let us in.After realizing the property wasn’t safe, we decided to find a hotel for the night. Since we never stayed at the property, we requested a refund, but the owner refused. We have spent countless hours on the phone with VRBO trying to resolve this issue, but so far, we’ve gotten no help.We are out of our money and have been completely ignored by the owner. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this property! The lack of safety, poor communication, and refusal to refund our money have made this one of the worst rental experience ever
