About this property
Art Deco 2 bedroom Flat in East Melbourne - MCG
Enjoy all Melbourne has to offer in this central, stylish and well-equipped home. Take your breakfast and coffee on the balcony to soak up the stunning sunrises and beautiful views. Being in the heart of East Melbourne means everything is a leisurely stroll away. Perfectly equipped for work trips with an office and fast wifi. Surrounded by gorgeous parks and gardens, it is easy to forget you are a ten minute walk to the CBD (via Fitzroy/Treasury Gardens) and a 10 minute walk to the MCG!
This beautiful corner apartment in the art deco 'Belgravia Square' building in East Melbourne has everything you need to enjoy your stay in the city in comfort and style. It has gorgeous windows which can open up on all sides of the apartment - perfect for soaking up the views or catching a bit of the breeze.
It is kitted out with a recently renovated full sized kitchen with heaps of bench space, featuring an amazing Bosch oven/stove, full sized fridge and dishwasher, wine rack and bar, plus a breakfast bench situated underneath the window so you can enjoy the views over breakfast.
There is a seperate large living room with comfortable chairs and couches setup with a tv (connected to an Apple TV), sound-system, PS4 and record player to enjoy during your downtime. You'll also find an interesting library of books in the hallway if you'd prefer. The living room also features air-conditioning/heating as well as a ceiling fan.
The dining table is perfectly situated in front of the gorgeous main window of the living room and comfortably fits six.
From the living room you'll find a door leading out onto the balcony where you can sit and enjoy your own private garden which has been carefully curated with a range of lush native plants plus various herbs you can use in the kitchen.
There is a large master bedroom with huge double-glazed windows taking up two walls so you can soak up stunning views across the park and out to the Dandenong Ranges in the East and down tree-lined Powlett St to the MCG. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, large built in robe, air-conditioning/heating, windows that open on both sides, black-out blinds and a ceiling fan.
The second room has a large window which opens on both sides. You can enjoy more lovely views from this room or block the light out with the black-out blinds. This room has a double bed.
The office space can also be found in the second room (we usually use it as an office unless guests come to stay). This consists of a beautifully restored mid-century leather-topped desk and a mid-century leather executive chair. This room is located furthest from the living room and can be isolated from the rest of the apartment by closing a couple of doors so you can work or attend meetings in peace.
The office space is setup and ready to help you get to work with dual monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse, printer, smart speaker and stationary. You can connect to the internet using either the super fast mesh wifi network or plug in via the dedicated Ethernet connection.
All of the internal walls are made from solid double brick so sound doesn't travel if you close off the doors between the rooms.
You'll find a European laundry behind the set of doors in the hallway with a washing machine/dryer.
The bathroom also has a lovely little view when the window is opened up (with frosted glass for privacy). It features marble floor tiling and a marble sink-top with storage located under the sink and behind the mirror. There is also a shower with excellent water pressure and a small bath.
