About this property
Hosts on the Coast Fisherman's Delight
Fisherman’s Delight is a classic retro Kiwi bach near town and boat ramps. Perfect for a guy’s fishing weekend. Even if you don’t like fishing but love the idea of chilling in a classic bach, then this is the place for you! The home has three bedrooms, two have queen beds and the third has a double and a single bed. The bathroom has a shower and toilet, you will also find the washing machine there. The kitchen is small but has all the basics you need to throw together your lunch for the boat, a day at the beach or prepare your food for the BBQ in the evening. There is a dining table that opens out onto a great deck where the outdoor table and BBQ are. The lounge has a couch and a flat-screen TV. The section is fully fenced and has a large gate at the back which exits onto Bryce Street and makes it easy to get the boat in and out. The main entrance to the home also has parking for cars. Pets are welcome to stay with you for a small charge.
Get the crew together and head to Fisherman’s Delight in Whitianga, the fish are biting!
Whitianga is a popular holiday destination located on the Coromandel Peninsula. It is the gateway to some amazing beaches and scenery. Wandering the shops is a good start and if you get a bit peckish head to one of many delightful eateries whether it’s a pie and donut, or a sit-down lunch with a cold beverage. There are plenty of options. There is plenty to do for the kids as well with mini golf, movies, an awesome skatepark and kids’ playground, and of course, there is the Mercury Bay Museum. For adults, a trip to the Lost Springs Thermal Spa and Hot Pools is a great way to spend a couple of hours relaxing in tropical surroundings. If you make your way to the wharf you can catch the passenger ferry to Ferry Landing & take a walk over to Front Beach. Tour boats also leave from the wharf which can show you around the area and stop close to Cathedral Cove within the Marine Reserve, watch the fish, go for a snorkel, or take a cave tour. If fishing is your idea of a good time, there are plenty of Charters that can take you out. Or you could take a drive out to Hahei. From here you can take the 40-minute walk to world-renowned Cathedral Cove, or you can head to the beach where there is a water taxi that can take you. Hot Water Beach is not to be missed. At low tide dig a hole and you will have your own hot pool! Spades can be hired from the local store.
