About this property
Banjo Treehouse - Architectural Elegance
Be among the first to experience this newly completed bush retreat.
Banjo tree house is a discrete retreat nestled in the tree-tops, a stone’s throw from the historic Hepburn Springs Bath House.
It accommodates two to six people, all in luxurious style.
Its name is inspired by its physical and historic connections.
The brief to the award-winning architectural designer, Sue Carr, was to rethink the quintessential Australian cottage of Banjo Patterson’s 1880s, preserving its practical simplicity but including the comforts of 2025.
A place to reconnect and get back to nature.
Hiding behind the heavy timber door of the unassuming exterior you will find a fully equipped creative sanctuary, wide open to the bush in summer and cocooned by the wood combustion heater in winter.
Three double bedrooms with large Sleeping Duck beds and mattresses, two modern bathrooms, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, large living and dining room that opens onto an elevated deck.
You can manage the seasons with an electric retractable canopy. The deck has a gas BBQ by Heston Blumenthal, and sitting and dining areas overlooking the bush, which is flood-lit at night.
The house has zoned reverse cycle air conditioning.
The mid-century design interior is simplistic, with everything you need and nothing you don’t to allow you to relax in this bush hideaway.
Please Note:
Although the property welcomes your small dog, the property has no fencing or lockable area at all for your dog to be left unattended. Banjo is located in a bush area, so we advise your dog to be on a leash at all time due to wildlife activity as well as proximity to the road.
