Our family enjoyed an wonderful weekend at this beautiful 40 acre property. Water views from our cabin, enjoyed all the free amenities (disc golf, ping pong, carpet ball, 9 square, basketball, badminton, frisbee game- they also had kayaks, etc). Beautiful beach with lots of rocks to skip, had coffee watching the sunrise and walked the beach during sunset. We also enjoyed the area (Stockholm pie shop, wine tasting at via bellezza, Laura Ingalls wilder museum, pizza at Nelsons stone barn and the boys went fishing on lake Pepin). We enjoyed s’mores and cooking a few meals over our cabins fire pit as well.
We had to change our tent camping plans when the nighttime weather dipped below freezing, and this was an ideal step up! The heated cabin and bathroom with shower made our family adventure so much more enjoyable. We still got to cook outside on our camp stove and enjoy nightly campfires, and beautiful sunrise and sunset lake views were just across the lawn. My daughter loved digging up rocks on the beach, and Stockholm offers just the right amount of in-town fun for a casual weekend. Erik was an easygoing and responsive host. Will definitely be back!
I came to camp pepin with my grandparents for a weekend getaway from the city. Martha, Eric, and the rest of the staff at camp were absolutely wonderful. Any problem or question we had they were able to resolve right away. Overall, our stay at camp was very enjoyable and we would definitely do it again.
Our family rented two units over Memorial Weekend. The lodging setup was nothing fancy, but that was the point! Our kids loved bunking, playing cards, going out on the paddleboards and canoes, and just enjoying the outdoors. The grandparents went for hikes at a few different nearby trails. There was something for everyone. This is an easy stay for families who want a camping experience with essential facilities. The beach was superb and we fully enjoyed our stay.
If you think it's too late or too cold to go camping a week from Halloween, think again. The cabin is spartan, but the bunks' mattresses beat a camping mat any day, and it is heated! The area is filled with fun destinations: Stockholm Pie Company, Maiden Rock Cidery, Tip Top Farm, Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum. The views of the Mississippi are grandiose, and there are a lot of hikes. I could go on and on. The camp director is very welcoming and helpful!
The camp is a fabulous location with a beautiful woods to walk in, boats to paddle on Lake Pepin, outdoor games such as our favorite carpetball, and fire pits for wonderful bonfires and outdoor cooking. Martha is a fabulous host and this was a great location for a socially distanced mini vacation with good restaurant options in surrounding towns. I would love to bring my whole family here once the risk of Covid is over but it is a perfect spot to get away with your quarantine cohort.
My daughter and I had so much fun at your facility! The cabin was perfect for us, and it was so fun to have all of the equipment available to use. The location is beautiful and everyone we met were so nice and respectful! Martha was the best hostess and we had everything we needed. Thanks so much!
The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and the accommodations of the camp (ice, water, use of water crafts, etc.) were great! Plus the location is right on the water! We would definitely be interested in returning!
Our 7 day stay came and went too quick! The beautiful river views and nature sounds were amazing to wake up to every morning! The bonus camp supplied kayaks, paddle boards and life jackets were very handy! Staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed ❤. We will definitely be back for our next vacation.
