Gun Lake Cottage - Bonfire, AC, Full Kitchen, Gazebo! Dock your boat or rent one

Cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a full kitchen, AC, heat, laundry room, towels, pillows, blankets, bonfire, dock, and more! One bedroom has a queen size bed while the other has a full size bed. We also have 2 queen size air mattresses to use. The Gazebo is perfect for enjoying morning coffee or relaxing at night. Fire up the grill or use the bonfire. We’re on the channel and have a dock you can use for your own boat or rent our pontoon (additional cost, please ask). We even have a 5-person pedal boat and 2 kayaks you are more than welcome to use to explore! You’ll have a great time out on Gun Lake! The sunrises/sunsets are gorgeous!

Quant cottage

The place is very nice and clean. Everything you need is there. Rental of the pontoon right on property was very convenient. The shower stall is a corner unit and quite small. The bedrooms are small and not much room to move around. Otherwise the place was perfect.

Cute Cottage

This was the cutest little cottage! It was clean and well-stocked. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. Our host, Mike, was very helpful, before and during our stay! And if we had a question, he was always quick to answer.

Pontoon Trip

We absolutely love this place! A perfect house on the lake with a modern pontoon boat. Mike is an excellent host and has the house well equipped with everything you could possibly need! The lake has very good fishing and is also big enough to not get over crowded on the weekends. Probably the best lake we have ever been to!

Perfect getaway

Everything was amazing. Beautiful area and cozy property. We had every amenity we could hope for and even took the opportunity to rent the pontoon boat. Could not have asked for a better weekend getaway.

Nice Getaway

This cottage is small but has everything you need. It comfortably fit 3 adults and 2 small dogs. Kitchen was fully stocked with supplies and bathroom had plenty of towels for everyone. We chose it because it was directly on the lake. It’s a quiet community with nice neighbors. Grocery store, gas station, pizza and ice cream shop were less than 5 min away. The pontoon was very much worth it. Boat was in good shape and the lake was family friendly and easy to navigate. Mike was a great host and checked in frequently. The cabin did have a musty smell but that could be do to the weather (rained some days). Unfortunately the propane tank for the grill ran out on our second time using it. Mike responded quickly and did offer resolutions however it seemed like an oversight. Regardless, we had a positive stay and still recommend this place!

Great little please for a getaway

Mike’s property is great if looking to spend time outdoors. We enjoyed the use of the grill, dinner under gazebo, fire pit, kayaks, paddle boat and also took his pontoon out (separate fee). Not many vacation rentals offer boat rental and was a nice extra to be able to enjoy, especially the sunset over the lake. We also enjoyed the location being on a channel, quieter.

Great get away

Great two bedroom cottage - it is on a quiet canal on Gun lake. Cottage was clean with all the amenities you need accept for food. We took our own boat and explored the lake. Explored surrounding towns and had a great time. Give this place a 5 star.

Adorable cozy cottage perfect for our family.

Enjoyed this place so much. The gazebo and fire pit were a bonus also the pontoon was a must for us. Perfect for a small family.

Great Lake Cottage

We just checked out this morning. It was one of the best cottages we've ever stayed at. The lake channel is perfect for younger kids & adults to be able to kayak, paddle board and fish. It's safer, less wake and peaceful. The cottage came fully stocked. I only had to purchase a cheap 9x13 pan to bake brownies for the kids. So many great bath towels. Our grandchildren thought they had to shower daily, therefore we went through all of them them quickly. I was so thankful for the large capacity washer and dryer. Once again, fully stocked with detergent and softener sheets. We rented the pontoon boat also. Had a great time pulling the kids around on the 2-person tube we just bought. Overall, a fantastic week! Great Gun Lake cottage on channel

We came in for a wedding at Bay Pointe Inn so location was close & convenient. We planned to bring our pontoon but opted out as had too many activities which ended up being fine but there is dock space to have your own boat. VRBO is cute and outside area is awesome to relax & enjoy! Owner communication was awesome and had no issues with VRBO. We thought we would never want a cottage on channel but it was very enjoyable especially with breeze coming off water while in backyard.

Nice Lake Cabin

Nice two BR cabin with the option of a pontoon boat (recommended). Me, my daughter and son-in-law stayed for a week and found it quite comfortable. Nice gas grill and fire pitt. The lake was beautiful. The owner Mike is easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Pontoon Trip

Great location. Exactly as listed. The Host thinks of all the little things so you don't have to! The Host provides the wood for the fire pit which is so nice. The fishing was very good! 5 star all the way!

We were in Shelbyville for our sons wedding and Decided to stay here. The location and the space were perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer! Mike is a fantastic host- awesome communication and made the process so easy.
