About this space

Welcome to your cozy getaway in the heart of Moe. This delightful cottage offers a perfect blend of comfort and charm, making it an ideal spot for couples, families, or solo travelers looking to unwind. Relax in a bright and airy living room, sleep soundly in two inviting bedrooms and cook up a storm in the modern kitchen, featuring all the essentials, Just a short walk from local shops, cafes and parks, with easy access to nearby attractions
The space
Sam's Cottage has two good sized bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, a sunny north facing loungeroom, bathroom with a shower and toilet, laundry with washing machine and nearby extra toilet and back entry. It has a beautiful large front yard and room for at least two cars in the driveway. The back yard has a large grassy area to sit and relax. Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar, butter and two 200ml milk per stay. We do have some pantry items such as vegemite, peanut butter and tomato sauce.
Cooking items such as pots and pans, a kettle, toaster, airfryer and rice cooker are all there to make your stay comfortable.

In Victoria‘s Gippsland region, Moe is part of a line of connected settlements along the industrial Latrobe Valley.

This brings real contrast to the surrounding countryside, where cooling towers and open cut coal mines soon give way to pastoral dairy farms and tracts of remnant bushland.

Museums and attractions around Moe recall the early days of European settlement and the importance of immigration to Gippsland, while old industrial railways have become rail trails for light walks in the bush.

The southern slopes of the Great Dividing Range are just north of Moe, and you can travel up to the Gold Rush town of Walhalla, once among the richest places in Australia and now a ghost town.

After the initial problem getting in to the property we found it a very neat tidy cottage with a nicely appointed kitchen. All areas have been renovated, comfy bed in front bedroom. Things that would improve this property : .Definitely front door needs attention .Flyscreen Security doors front & back to enable air flow. .TV remote in bedroom didnt work(not a major thing) .Unable to hook up DVD to TV(this more likely my lack of technical ability & also not big deal) .Can opener would be handy

Why they chose this property

My family and I love Moe and the surrounding areas. There is so much to do, we love visiting Walhalla and the surrounding areas such as Erica and Rawson.
Moe has many great parks and gardens and Apex park is a big hit with our family.
There is also many great cafes and bakeries which are a 10 minute stroll to get to from our cottage.
