We loved this house! It was close to everything but far enough away we felt secluded! We brought our dogs and they loved having a fenced in yard! The house was beautiful.
Very quaint, spacious and well equipped with comforts of home
Spent spring break with the family ( 3 kids 2 adults and a dog) in the Smokey’s. Nicely off the main roads but still easy to get to both pigeon forge and gatlinburg. We enjoyed the kitchen and outdoor space a lot!
My family and I traveled with our dog to this lovely cabin. The location is very private and we never heard any of the neighbors in the cabins further down the mountain. The road was easily accessible and well maintained. We never came across another car going up/down the one way drive. The cabin was absolutely perfect for our dog- who thoroughly enjoyed the fenced in area. The cabin was well maintained and clean. Just be cautious of a few deck boards that could be replaced.
It felt very secluded, yet Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were only about 15-20 minutes away- so much to do! We loved the beautiful views from the porch swings and hot tub. We will definitely stay here again!!
We had a great time here with friends celebrating my 30th birthday. The kitchen is well stocked with plates and cookware, and even had some spices, oil, etc. it’s spacious and beautiful and exactly as described in the listing. Would stay again!
We stayed here for a getaway over the Christmas holiday week. We cooked several meals here and had everything we needed. This was close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg without being in the crazy traffic. Beautiful mountain setting and everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

The owners did a fantastic job making their house feel like a true mountain cabin. The bear theme and custom furniture was stunning. There is also a fenced in area for your dogs if you bring them. My dogs loved to lay on the deck, enjoying the breeze, looking into the mountains. It’s not far from Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and several trails. The owners are great at communicating and assisting with your needs as well. I highly recommend!
This was a perfect family getaway, and the cabin was just as beautiful as the view! The cabin had everything that my family needed and it felt like home. The beds were very comfortable and the house was immaculate - the cabin is even nicer than the pictures if that is possible! We would definitely come back. Note that it was snowing when we arrived, and although the driveway was steep, our Honda CRV made it up with no problem at all (no 4wd). The roads are tricky in general all around the mountain, so just use caution!
This property was nice. You always take a chance at picking a place by photo. It was very private but had a good central location. We didn’t know how important the driveway could be on a mountain home. Thank goodness this house was not difficult to access. Many of the near by homes would have been a nightmare to get to. The house was very clean and well kept.
This cabin and the views were beautiful!! The pictures don’t do it justice. It was clean and had everything there that you would need, other than food. My husband, our 6 month old son, black lab, and I needed a little getaway and this was the perfect place. It was close enough to stores and restaurants, but just far enough to get away and enjoy some piece and quiet. Since it was all fenced in (porch and a little bit of yard) our dog was able to not be on a leash and enjoy her space. We never used the tv since it was warm and sunny, but they do have plenty of movies. We will definitely be back!
The views from the balconies are really lovely. The inside of the cabin is outfitted with modern appliances and plenty of cookware to prepare most any meal for a family. We didn't have time to use the hot tub unfortunately however it was working and clean if we wanted to. You will see stars, and trees, and mountains! I would recommend this stay to literally anyone!! If you are working remotely as of this writing the owners have starlink and I was regularly seeing speeds between 150mbs and 250mbs with sub 50ms latency. Your mileage may vary however I work in the tech industry and this would have been plenty sufficient for my purposes so if internet is a concern for you this is where you should stay.
This was our 2nd time to rent this cabin. We had 4 adults and a 6 year old. One thing we noticed right away was the improved internet connection. We were able to connect multiple devices and had good speed. This allowed us to download trail maps (free) of the park, which was a big help while hiking.
The cabin was very clean, and the fenced area allowed our dog to be outside without being on a leash. I checked the yard before letting our dog loose, and was pleased that there were no droppings left by previous guests.
The cabin is remote enough to allow privacy and yet close enough to Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountain National Park so that we didn't have to spend too much time driving.
A Great Cabin. I would definitely recommend it!
We had a great time staying at this house! Our fully packed Honda CRV was able to handle the drive up with no issues and this drive wasn’t nearly as steep as a different property we stayed at a few years ago in the area. The house was clean and fit our family (two adults, three teen boys and two dogs) just fine. There are two large dog crates (49x32x30) in the house which is very handy. All the bed linens and towels were provided with the house. There is plenty of t.p., hand soap, and trash bags. Make sure you bring some dishwasher and laundry detergent if you plan on using either of those appliances. Just a note about bringing dogs, the fenced in yard is fantastic for the dogs however there is a note inside that states that there is a bear trail behind the house and that copperheads and rattlesnakes are not uncommon in the area. I was nervous every time my dogs went out in the yard and would maybe think twice about bringing them for their safety.
This place was great! The fenced in yard/dog park was perfect for us. It was nice to let them run outside without the worry of them going off exploring too far, or walking them on a leash. If you need cell phone service prior to check-in it is spotty, for AT&T at least, after check-in you can use wifi calling if needed. We only had some issues with bees in the small retaining wall between the walkway and the yard. We sprayed them and killed a hive of paper wasps but the yellow Jackets remained and we couldn't get the spray into them, a Pro exterminator would be the way to go for them. The only other issue would be the deck could use some repair and a fresh coat of stain/paint, it's not to the point you would be scared to walk on. The beds where comfortable and the views and privacy was excellent. Be prepared, if you never visited the area before, for some windy roads. There are at least three different ways to get to the cabin and each way will put you in a different location throughout the area. Wears Valley Road, mid-parkway in Pigeon Forge( light 6 ) and the last light before going to Gatlinburg from Pigeon Forge ( light 10 ).
Terrible experience. Serious cleanliness and general maintenance issues.
I exchanged emails with the owners after we returned and forwarded them all the pictures. From their point of view, “Only issue was cleaning”. They said if we had notified them, they would have sent the cleaning crew back. That’s ridiculous and completely unreasonable to ask guests who are paying $560/night to baby sit their cleaner when the house needs a deep cleaning. As you’ll see in the details below, there is a very long list of things that needed to be addressed – it wasn’t just a few things that could be knocked out in a couple of hours. Guess they expected us to let the handy man, exterminator and plumber in too.
Very strong dusty smell. There was No air intake filter on main level and the air return metal vent was filthy. Air filter on second floor and metal return vent was filthy.
We bought & installed new filters in both and cleaned metal vents.
Kitchen issues: Dirty Food prep Utensils & Drawers, Oven, Inside trash can lids. Water Filter on Frig had not expired. Hot Water from faucet - could not get a full stream of hot water. No hand soap. Only 1 Dishtowel for a 5 night stay
Den issues: Window ledges behind couch were covered with dead bugs (pictures). Killed 7-8 live stink bugs - found 10 or more dead. Lamp in den not working - No light bulb. Blinds were filthy everywhere but really bad in the den. Fireplace - ash from prior guests not cleaned out. Patio door lock broken - stick was the only method to secure it.
We stayed over Christmas. ZERO decorations.
Overall, we had a decent stay at this cabin. With a few small improvements this cabin could become top notch. First, the driveway is VERY steep and only allows for one vehicle to pass at a time. This wasn't an issue during our stay in the summer and my Civic could make the hill okay, but you absolutely need 4WD/AWD if going in winter conditions. My husband and I are experienced mountain drivers, but even I was fearful of meeting another family trying to enter/leave down the road and be forced to reverse down the hill to make way for traffic. This wasn't a deal breaker for us, but just be mindful if mountain driving scares you! Second, the overall cleanliness of the house was great, but there were many little millipedes that made their way into the home which wasn't the most pleasant. I'm not sure if there is a nest near the home, or how exactly they were getting in but my husband had to kill at least 15 during our stay with our little girls who are not happy about bugs. We had a small issue with the internet/wifi while staying here. We absolutely did not expect to be able to stream movies/shows while here, but the first 2 days we couldn't even load a normal internet page or email. This was inconvenient for my husband having to check on a few small work/school items while on vacation. We did reach out to the cabin caretaker and we were just told it wouldn't work if we were trying to stream despite us saying we were not. Ultimately the internet started to work on day 2 randomly, but know that it is very likely you will have no cell phone reception or basic internet available at every moment while staying here. Overall, the cabin was nice and one of the best we have been able to bring out pets to and having a fully enclosed area for our dogs to enjoy while we were outside was amazing. I do suggest pet owners bring a flashlight as the dog yard area is not lit at night and very dark. This is a nice cabin for a family with kids and pets, and with a few small improvements could become an exceptional property at the top of the list. We would be happpy to stay here again with our family!
