Very bad experience - filthy and remodel was completed
Starting with checkin. I was in constant communication updating the host (or their designee) with our arrival time. Upon arriving we had to wait an hour for him to let us in. All doors had code locks which we were provided after when we could have easily gotten in to property instead of waiting in our car after a 6 hour drive. The host exited the front door of the property (we suspect he was inside cleaning the whole time)Due to the late hour we put our things inside and went out to dinner. Upon returning to the residence we learned of the uncleanliness of the house. The sheets were covered in hair and there was hair and stains inside sheets. It was clear they hadn’t been washed after the last use. We had to wash all of the sheets ourselves prior to using them late at night before we could go to sleep. The furniture was disgusting, covered with stains to the point where we didn’t not even want to sit on them. There was a high pitch coming from the fire alarm system which we were told would soon be disabled after checkin. The fire alarm emergency pull in hallway was apart leading us to believe the system did not even work. The kitchen and two of the bathrooms were covered in ants by the time we woke up. Three of the bathroom showers were unusually as the doors were not install the the faucets weren’t completed. There were open electric boxes and painters tape still on the walls. A window was missing cans covered with plastic and several rooms had no blinds.
