The Waterfront Retreat, one of East Gippsland’s best-kept secrets, offers a tranquil escape on 20 acres of natural bushland along the banks of Lake Victoria. With 19 self-contained lodges ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, guests can enjoy lake or bushland views while catering for themselves in fully equipped kitchens. Just 15 minutes from Paynesville and 20 minutes from Bairnsdale, this peaceful haven is perfect for nature lovers, complete with a resident mob of friendly kangaroos.

Two secluded lodges are available, each with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleep up to four guests. Each lodge features a queen master suite, a twin bedroom, a separate toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, and cookware for convenient self-catering.

Steamer Lodge is situated at the front of the resort and offers unobstructed views of the lake across the lawn. Steamer Lodge also has its own private heated spa bath facing the lake.

Beautiful spot for the family

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Great retreat, great views and wonderful relax

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was superb. The lodge was well equipped and cosy. Loved all the facilities and being able to use all the sports equipment. It was a shame the tennis court was closed and it would be great to have had a bike pump as one of the bikes had a flat tyre. Pool and spa were lovely. We would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.
