The Waratah House offers a perfect mix of tranquility & convenience. This architecturally designed holiday home is light-filled & breezy, with open-plan living spaces that allow a seamless flow to your private garden, providing a peaceful private retreat.

Both bedrooms feature king-size beds, with a spacious loft office to work or relax.
Enjoy the spacious loft, perfect for both productivity and relaxation. Whether you're working in a dedicated office area or unwinding on cozy beanbags, you'll have the ideal space to play board games or dive into one of the many books on the bookshelf.

Enjoy a warm outdoor shower after the beach. Located a short drive from the beach and National Park. Golf Clubs are walking distance/short drive and stroll to the local cafes, restaurants & shops nearby.

Spacious wardrobe featuring multiple hanging areas and large drawers for ample storage. Comes with plenty of coat hangers to keep your clothes organized.

Bedroom 2: Furnished with 2x KING SINGLE beds with the most comfortable sleeping duck mattresses. It also includes a bedside table and lamp , four-drawer tallboy for extra storage, along with a stylish wall mirror.

Modern loft office:
The room is furnished with a desk, desk lighting & office chair and a bookshelf. Monitor and Printer/Scanner for Office use available on request.

Fan in both guest bedrooms and reverse cycle air-condition for the kitchen, dinning-, living- and office area.

Fully equipped kitchen. Miele front loader washing machine.

Outdoor undercover area with ceiling fan and garden.

Hot & cold outdoor beach shower.

2x parking spaces off road. We do not have a charging station for electric vehicles on the property, but there are two charging stations located in the center of Mona Vale, just a 2-minute drive away.

The best Bakeries and Patisseries in Mona Vale to get your daily fresh bread in the morning and grab a takeaway coffee while you are there.
Among other Cafes, the earliest one open is 2KF Espresso in Bungan street opens Mon-Sat at 4.40am - 2pm. Sunday 5.30am - 2pm.
Another favourite of ours is Cafe Monaka only 8min. walk from The Waratah House. Open Mon-Sat 8am-3pm. Kitchen open til 2.30pm.

TRANSPORT:
The B-Line bus (modern yellow double decker bus) is a 12 min. walk from The Waratah House and a high-frequency bus route that runs from Mona Vale to Wynyard Station - CBD. Turn up and go service.

OR you can book a Keoride with the app to get picked up from The Waratah House and dropped off to the nearest B-Line bus stop.

12min walk to the 199 Bus to take you to Manly OR Palm Beach. Take the Ferry from Manly to Circular Quay - Opera House. From there Ferries go to Taronga Zoo, Luna Park, Darling Harbour etc.

155 Bus stop 2 min. walk from The Waratah House.

Mona Vale beach is short 5 min drive by car with a new Surf Life Saving Club Cafe and Restaurant.

Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park - The closest walk is a 7min. drive away :
The National Park combines important history with scenic beauty, making it perfect for a family picnic, and parts of the park are ideal for cycling, fishing, swimming at secluded beaches, visiting scenic lookouts and bushwalking.
Bobbin Head is a great place for a family picnic and very popular is the West Head lookout.

Cottage Point Inn - Restaurant:
Cottage Point is a modern Australian waterfront restaurant in Ku Ring Gai National Park on Sydney's Northern Edge. Fine dining.

Pittwater bay/Bayview:
Is a wide inlet to the south of Broken Bay and the entrance of the Hawkesbury River into it. Located some 30 kms north of Sydney, it is a boatowner's paradise.
Activities: Boat hire, kayak hire, sailing and walking trails.

The Pasadena - Church Point Restaurant:
Waterfront restaurant/bar.
Palms By Pasadena is situated in a world class prime waterfront location in picturesque Church Point, with sweeping Pittwater bay views. Fresh, modern cuisine with a seaside touch.

The Waterfront Cafe & General Store - Church Point:
Bustling Waterfront Cafe, featuring the live music den; The Co-Op Club and also the evergreen space upstairs, aptly titled 'The Top Room'.

Catch the Ferry at Church Point:
Enjoy beautiful Pittwater from the ferry, or get off on Scotland Island or the Western Foreshore of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
Scotland Island stops: Bell, Carols, Eastern and Tennis Court Wharves. North facing Tennis Court Wharf is a perfect spot for a picnic.
Western Foreshore stops include: Elvina Bay, Halls Wharf (access to Morning Bay), and Lovett Bay, made famous by Susan Duncan's book Salvation Creek.
The Church Point Ferries accept EFTPOS (Visa/Mastercard).

Barrenjoey Lighthouse:
25min. drive from The Waratah House to the carpark. Barrenjoey Lighthouse sits at Sydney’s most northern point – Barrenjoey Head at Palm Beach. A short bush walk and amazing view over Palm Beach and whale watching in Winter and early Spring.
Bring: Drinking water, hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, clothes for all weather conditions.

Narrabeen Lagoon:
The Narrabeen lagoon trail is an easy 8.4km loop on a well formed, shared track without steps. You can walk 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️ or ride🚲🚲 the loop trail or hire a kayak.
There are some bike hire places near the lagoon and also cafes, restaurants and playgrounds along the walk.

Bayview Golf Club ⛳- walking distance from The Waratah House and Mona Vale Golf Club ⛳a short drive but you can also walk.

Mountain biking 🚵 🚵🏼‍♀️ :
Manly Dam Mountain Bike Trail, Bare Creek Bike Park, JJ Melbourne Hills Memorial Reserve, Wyatt Avenue Bike park for Kids to improve their skills etc..
