About this property
Montville Estate - Luxury Hinterland Home & Pool
Summary:
Montville Estate uniquely fuses heritage Queenslander charm with contemporary luxury to offer a unique stay, just a stones throw from the heart of Montville. Eastnor House is a beautiful 3 bedroom original homestead sleeps 8 guests, on a sprawling 1.5 acres with luscious gardens, a magnesium pool, entertaining deck, cooks kitchen and a picturesque outlook from the verandah. Additionally on the estate is the Postman's Cottage, a luxurious and romantic abode for 2.
The Space:
Eastnor House was one of the first homes to be built when Montville was settled in 1895. Recently restored, the home is made up of a master king bedroom with ensuite, second queen bedroom, an upstairs third king bedroom with private reading room. A main bathroom, kitchen, two dining rooms, two lounge rooms and laundry. Two guests can also be accommodated in our custom made double sized day bed in the second lounge area.
Additionally, a part from the main house, The Postman's Cottage is a fully self-contained space with luxury amenities. It boasts a king sized bed, clawfoot bathtub, kitchen, lounge and wood fireplace.
Design has been at the forefront of our concept for Montville Estate, with every single element chosen carefully for you to appreciate and enjoy. All of our furnishings are from luxury brands dotted with antiques and special vintage finds to pay homage to the history of the home.
With the intention of 'Slow Living' we encourage disconnection from devices and true connection with family and friends, therefore do not offer a television. Grab a book, play a game, swim in the pool, eat, drink, light one or all of the three fires, enjoy a walk around the grounds or the quaint tourist township of Montville. There is so much to do and enjoy during your stay. The quarters are appointed with luxurious bed linen and towels by Cultiver. Hair and body products by Salus.
We stock a basic pantry which includes ground coffee beans, black and herbal teas, salt, pepper, sugar, spice selection and olive oil and a fully equipped kitchen in Eastnor House. Amenities in our main kitchen include double oven and 5-burner gas stovetop, double fridge with freezer, soda stream, dutch ovens, blender, kettle, toaster.
In the cottage we have a Bosch electric stove and compact oven with microwave, a bar fridge, kettle, and toaster. We also have plunger coffee makers for the caffeine addicts to enjoy with our favourite local and organic brew, Montville Coffee.
Guest Access:
Guests booking the Montville Estate have full and private access to the entire estate including Eastnor House and The Postman's Cottage plus gardens, magnesium pool and 2 carport spaces.
The Neighborhood:
Montville is charming hub in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and a destination for locals and tourists alike. It is vibrant during the day with speciality shops and cafes aplenty. We are surrounded by local wineries, hatted restaurants as well as casual but delicious eateries. We are also lucky to be in amongst some of Australia's most spectacular national parks, with landmarks including Kondalilla Falls, Lake Baroon and The Great Walk. The ocean is a short 30 min drive away, Noosa just 50 minutes north, with many gorgeous hinterland towns along the way.
Getting Around:
We highly recommend having a car if you are planning on exploring the surrounds. However if you're looking to relax and simply walk into town, The Montville Estate is perfectly located at the back of the village.
Other Things to Note:
We are a fenceless property but we do welcome pets by application only ($50 pet fee). Please contact us to see if your furry friend can join.
