About this property
Moroccan 1001 Nights Hideaway
Enter a magical Moroccan retreat hidden in the enchanting Dandenong Ranges—a true Ali-Baba cavern. This vibrant studio blends cultures and traditions, perfect for a solo or couple’s escape. Immerse yourself in its colorful bohemian charm, surrounded by handpicked, one-of-a-kind décor. Play chess on an Iranian board, sleep beneath a canopy of hand-embroidered Mongolian rugs, sip mint tea from Moroccan glasses, or lose yourself in the pages of Rûmî and 1001 Nights after a day of forest adventure. A hot tub with forest view is available for extra fee in the garden just around the corner of your studio.
You will enjoy a self contained studio with a separate entry, sunroom, living/bedroom, kitchen, bathroom with a shower and on site parking.
If available, you can book the Cockatoo Express tiny house separately for 3 people stays or if you need an extra space - please contact me or google it. If you don’t book it, it might be used be another guest.
The large garden is shared with bees, birds, possums, myself, my beekeeper, other guests staying at Cockatoo Express (when booked) and very occasionally my friends and family members. If you need exclusive use of the garden, please reach out as this can be arranged.
A key lock situated at the entrance of your studio contains the keys for self check-in. The code will be provided shortly before your check-in time.
You can use your space as well as the large beautiful garden that have several sitting spots.
Linen and towels are provided.
Please kindly note there is no TV on the property as it’s a great place to disconnect and be in nature. If however you wish to watch movies, I recommend you download your preferred movies before your stay. Fast internet is also available during your stay.
Busy hardworking bees also live in the garden in several beehives and you will appreciate the divine nectar smell next to the hives in warm months.
If you are interested in using these premises for commercial filming or photography, please contact me to get the contract: it is allowed for additional fees.

Why they chose this property
Dandenong ranges is such a unique area in the world! It is only 1h from Melbourne yet feels completely remote. Even just driving here while I was looking for a house to purchase always put a smile on my face: the scenery is breathtaking!
"The Hills", as locals call it, are home to dozens species of native birds and marsupials. Hiking trails are plenty and local cafes have nothing to envy capital cities ones!
