Love Wilmington! This is our second time staying at this property, in a different cabin to fit the family. It’s such a sweet spot to stay if you love cozy!!
Very cozy cabin with lovely fireplace. Clean cabin and the beds were very comfortable. Location close to Whiteface mountain. Perfect for a family of four.
Communication with the host was quick and responsive. The fire place was fantastic and the beds are super comfy. It’s close to everything, but secluded enough to really have a cabin in the woods feel. No frills, but we absolutely loved it for our mid week ski trip!!! Thank you.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Disappointing and way overpriced for what it is
Thought this was going to be a lovely cabin experience for me and my friends visiting from the uk but it was a disappointment. The Nearby KOA would have been better or any of the motels nearby. The photos of outdoor firepit area are very misleading. The firepit shown is for the next cabin and there were no chairs to use. Had to use the indoor fire. For the money would recommend spending it on anything else.
The description using the word kitchenette was misleading. Other units we have rented from VRBO that listed that it had a kitchenette had a small kitchen area with a sink, small stove and small refrigerator—this allowed us to make a simple breakfast. This unit only has a small refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There are no dishes or silverware only cups and one spoon. Other than that, the stay was delightful, cozy with great beds, plenty of towels and fireplace.
My fiancé and I needed a place to stay while we were in town for our engagement photos. We were lucky enough to find these cabins available. It was cozy, and comfortable. Not far away from Lake Placid.
Michelle had the cabin in tip top shape when we arrived. The cabin itself was very nice with a front porch, firepit and an outside grill. Inside the cabin it had a fireplace,a nice couch with coffee table, a couple of nice chairs, table with coffee maker, toaster nice size fridge. It sat in the woods and was keep cool even tho it didn't have AC. Plenty of pillows and blankets on the beds. Michelle was cleaning other cabins the next day and seen us sitting outside and came over and asked if we needed anything. I would tell anyone who asked about the cabin that they shou give them a try. I rented it in Jan for the July visit and the owners were quick to reply to any questions I had.
This was a quick little trip with the family. The beds were very comfortable and it had a nice fire place in the den. We had a great time and the location was perfect. It’s within 20 minutes of Lake Placid and less than a five minute drive to Whiteface. We were able to bring our dog and that made our trip complete. We will be back.
Stayed here to go to Santa's Workshop. Location perfect. The new owners are making the cottages very comfy. We enjoyed our stay. And the weather even cooperated by giving us a beautiful white dusting of snow. Good for families with small kids. Plenty of room to roam outdoors.
Our requirements are simple:
Clean
Efficient
Comfortable
Location
Our stay hit each of these points spot on. There are many whom I believe look at a rustic log cabin to be the same as the Ritz-Carlton. That means they should rethink their needs lists.
The owners were VERY communicative, welcoming, and overly accommodating, and admittedly new to the game, yet made every effort to make our quick stay a delight. We will be back in force! :)
This is a cute little cabin with a lot of potential. It is desperately in need of new furniture and when we brought this up with the owners, they said they are new to the business and new stuff is ordered and should go in shortly. I would give five stars if/when it has new furniture.
The property is located in a beautiful forested area and the cabin is very cozy. The close proximity to Lake Placid and surrounding hikes is a big plus.
I liked that they allowed big dogs (I have 2 labs). I brought my own, but was happy to see dog waste bags were provided. It was very quiet & peaceful to stay there & not a bad drive to Lake Placid. I would have liked for the bar & restaurant to be open, but understand with Covid, some reopenings take longer. Overall, it was a good stay & I would recommend to others.
Had a great stay at this chalet! Was perfect for a small group of friends getting together for the weekend. It’s a small cabin but very warm and cozy. Could use a little updating but if you’re not looking for a 5 star hotel this is a great option, makes a great base camp for a day of hiking or skiing at whiteface. Communication with the host was quick, easy and responsive. Would definitely stay again!
We had a great week. Couple things I should get addressed like broken furniture, windows air vents. But it's an old cabin in the woods doesn't need to be like a million dollar mansion. It stinks that the restaurant is closed as well. When there is nowhere to make food it's pretty important to have a place to eat or give a place you can make food.
