About this property
Miner's Cabin - Mountain views, outdoor baths, 40 mins to snow
Miner's Cabin is tucked away at the end of a quiet residential cul-de-sac in Rawson, Victoria — a remote location in a small, sleepy town. With a modest exterior and mountain views, it's a fully-fenced old timber house with private views of Baw Baw National Park and two outdoor baths.
Rawson is in a remote area.
There are no petrol stations and the closest supermarkets are in Traralgon or Moe, 30 minutes drive away. There is a very sparse general store with basic supplies 5 minutes away but you're best bringing what you need with you.
NOTE:
*There are two outdoor baths, (with hot water for 2 full baths before needing to re-heat) not a hot tub*
---------
Firewood is supplied June to end of August, free of charge. Outside of these times firewood and starters can be purchased from the general store.
Living room
The large, open plan living room features a split system aircon, wood fire place, large, 5-seater cinema style super comfortable couch and two equally comfortable recliners. There is a growing collection of books, games and a few crafty things, including lego for the little ones.
*All beds have electric blankets.
Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 - The main bedroom has a small ensuite and a double bed (with queen-sized quilt). On a clear morning you can watch the sun rise through the window.
Bedroom 2 - This bedroom is larger and has a queen sized bed and can fit a Portacot.
Bedroom 3 - The third bedroom has two single beds. The room is small and quite basic but very comfy linen is supplied.
The Portacot and high chair are in the cupboard and there is an anti-slip mat in the bathtub for the little ones.
Heating
As well as the fireplace, there is AC that will heat or cool the living room.
Kitchen
The fully-equipped kitchen is a hardwood timber kitchen with an oven, induction cooktop, a microwave, blender, Chemex pour-over coffee maker, coffee plunger, coffee grinder and dishwasher.
If it's in the kitchen, please help yourself.
Bathrooms
The main bathroom is small and old but clean, has great water pressure and also contains a small bath tub.
The ensuite in the double bedroom is smaller again but contains a toilet, sink and shower.
Laundry
There is a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Pets - Please use the pooper scooper to clean up after your pet and use the dog blankets and towels.
Outside
There is a fire pit and 2 outdoor baths, plumbed with hot water.
