BBQ'ing is a year round activity in these parts, so, of course, a BBQ is there for your use.
Nanoose Bay, on beautiful Vancouver Island, is just moments away from pristine beaches, scenic parks, and all the amenities you need for a perfect vacation. Whether you want to have a restful retreat, experience adventure, or perhaps a little bit of both, you can have it all. Nanoose Bay is just north of the city of Nanaimo, on the south end of Parksville and Qualicum Beach. It is also a great launch point for those that wish to ultimately venture off to Tofino for some surfing!
There is so much to do from this location. You can spend your days exploring, hiking, cycling, fishing, kayaking, SUP boarding, scuba diving, playing the numerous local golf courses and shopping within very close proximity or simply soak in the variety of beautiful beaches. You may even get lucky and see one of the many pods of Whales during your stay!
Departure Bay in Nanaimo has both passenger and car ferry services to and from Vancouver, and the ferry terminal is an easy 30-minute drive from Nanoose Bay. The Hullo passenger ferry service from Vancouver Harbour is a passenger only service to Nanaimo where car sharing services Evo and Modo are easy to access. If you are coming from further afield, Nanaimo Airport offers service to the main Canadian hubs.
