Buckhorn's Angelfire Resort - Lakeview
Welcome to Lakeview Cottage, a traditional loft style cottage nestled in the Angelfire Resort, with two incredible water views! This cozy one bedroom cottage features photo worthy views from east to west. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee with the sun rising over the wetlands on the back deck or lounging on the front deck with a cold drink while the sun sets over Big Bald Lake. Start and end your day gazing out your bedroom windows with the sunlight beaming in.
Entering the cottage, you’re welcomed into a sunroom overlooking the bay. Moving through, the living and dining is located centrally in the cottage with a fold down murphy bed tucked into the corner. The kitchen is across the back of the cottage along with the bathroom. Ideally suited for a couple, with the murphy bed as a wonderful for two additional children or friends who are looking for a cozy space to unwind.
Lakeview is a fantastic option for guests looking for a cozy space for their family while enjoying all the resort activities out front and a private space out back. You’ll enjoy all the amenities available at Angelfire Resort, including the shared sandy beach, communal fire pit, waterfront gym and watercraft!

Since the dock is shared, guests are not permitted to dock boats there
Waterfront
Entry to the water is off the beach or dock, with shallow walk in entry from the sandy beach, or jump in (feet first only - no diving) from the dock. The sandy beach is cleared of weeds annually. The dock area has weed growth. The large sandy beach and swim area is great for children and non-swimmers. There are some weeds, but it’s generally good for swimming.

Bobcaygeon: You'll find everything you want and need in scenic downtown Bobcaygeon. Bobcaygeon boasts one of Ontario's largest suppliers of shoes and swimwear (Bigley's), as well as elegant home decor shops, unique gift shops, sporting supplies and services, and beautiful clothing stores. (25 mins)
Bobcaygeon Wilderness Park: This 8-acre lot of mature forest is open to hiking, cycling, cross country skiing, and nature interpretation, with trails that are built to best-practice standards and accessible to all, including those who are physically challenged.(25 mins)
Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park: Kawartha Highlands Signature Site is the largest park in southern Ontario after Algonquin Provincial Park, and offers backcountry canoeing, camping, and hiking in any season.(10 mins)
Winter Activities: Ice fishing is available on the lake (bring your own equipment), and cross-country ski trails are available at the Kawartha Nordic Ski Club (25 mins).
Herb Guy’s Honey House: This operation maintains 100 colonies of bees in yards throughout the Kawarthas. Come sample the varieties depending on the season…basswood-blueweed; thistle; clover; goldenrod and asters are just a few, along with creamed, chunk honey and honeycomb. Tours welcome by appointment.
