First established in 1889, Fountain Point is a timeless American summer resort located on the shores of Lake Leelanau in Northern Michigan. We have 19 family-style cottages and a 14 bedroom hotel. The hotel includes a sweeping front porch that offers shaded lakeside views, as well as a parlor game room with activities for guests to borrow. There are no TVs, no air conditioning, and very limited WiFi. If you are looking for a place to truly unplug and unwind with your family and friends, you will find it here.

Step back in time

If you enjoy vacationing with a vintage feel, this is your place! Quiet , quaint (no air conditioning in hotel, but fan provided, no TV, sketchy wifi, no fridge in room), friendly and helpful staff. A great place to shake off tension and enjoy a relaxed and old-fashioned vibe.

What makes this property unique

The resort is set on the shore Lake Leelanau. There is a sandy swim area, with docks, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards included in your stay. Parlor games in the hotel include; pool, ping pong, foosball, board games, and puzzles. There are lawn games and all types of sports equipment available to borrow from the hotel. There is a sweeping front porch on the hotel that offers shade and a nice lakeside breeze in which to cool down.
