The property was perfect for our fishing trip the bed rooms were great. The heat worked along with stove, frig, and microwave. Great satellite TV . Good hot shower. the only thing negative I can say about the place is the wicker furniture inside should be replaced. The seat cushions were warn out and not very supportive .
Owner demanded extra money after our stay for cleaning dishes that were already washed and because we didn't take our garbage bags with us (who even does that?). This is on top of the excessive clean up fee he already charged when we made the reservation. We felt very cheated. Especially since we are middle aged professionals that do not act that way (not since college 20+ years ago).
The cabin itself smelled stale and musty. Heat was completely off and took half a day to be livable. One bedroom didn't have heat at all. I had to chase the owner on reservation day to find out how to get keys. He was out of town and forgot about us. I had to find some guy Mike who was supposed to be somewhere in the 10 building compound. In short, we were on our own and the owner couldn't care less.
Very disappointing.

About the host

Husband & wife Veteran-owned and operated business resurrected in 2014 after many years of steady decline and neglect. The couple originally established a presence in the late 1960's in the Pulaski and Port Ontario areas when parents constructed a camp directly across the Salmon River from the Blue Cottage (Lighthouse) property on the shore of Lake Ontario. Recognized an opportunity in 2013 to possibly revitalize and and re-energize all four of the rental properties on-site, the Marina operations which were unreliable and irregularly in action and to return support services to the resident charter boat captains and private leisure boat owners..
