Log cabin on Love's Cove and looking west over Ebenecook Bay on Southport Island. Built and furnished in 1909 by the same person who built Sprucewold in Boothbay harbor, and owned and cared for by our family, with varying levels of skill applied with unflagging energy since 1939. The entire place is beautiful and rustic. With the exception of the additions of modern appliances and other amenities (including very-fast 1Gps wifi) the experience of staying there has not changed much since my grandfather bought it 85 years ago. The floorplan is open and large, with soaring ceilings over living and dining areas, a big stone fireplace, and a huge and comfortable dining table. In the main cabin two of the bedrooms have queen beds while the other bedroom has bunk beds of full/queen size (custom size close to queen) as well as a twin bed. There are two bathrooms in the main cabin; one has a shower and one has a bathtub. The kitchen is large with a full set of appliances and plenty of counter space. There is an additional small sleeping cabin with a queen bed and half-bathroom. The property has a deep-water dock and a guest mooring which will hold boats up to 70'
