The Jesse Mount B&B Carriage House Off Jones St.

Summary:
Placed perfectly on the west end of Jones Street where you will find some peace and quiet, sits our historic 1854 town home. As its name subtly gives away, the Jesse Mount House was, indeed built for Jesse Mount, a prominent Savannah businessman. The 4-story building was most recently converted to be a fully equipped 5 bedroom B&B. We are offering our very spacious studio carriage house behind the main building. With a stunning courtyard, large bathroom and plenty of room to relax (or focus), this place is perfect for those working remotely or artists needing some creative space!

The Space:
The gorgeous diagonal heart pine floors, tall ceilings and gentle decor provides this marvelous "cottage" feel that is just so inviting. We have a very generous bathroom with a large glass shower and huge soaking tub with plenty of vanity room for getting ready. We offer a nifty little fully-functional kitchen that has everything you need. We have a smart TV with Amazon Fire Stick and very fast WiFi. The fireplace also works, just let us know if you would like to use it and we will provide instructions.

Guest Access:
There is a washer/dryer in the garage storage area when you walk in through the rear that you may use. These are shared with the tenants staying in the garden level apartment on Jones Street so just be courteous of the neighbors.

The Neighborhood:
This original cobblestone street really is the absolute prettiest in all of Savannah. We have had several movie scenes and dozens of wedding photos shot here. We are just a block over from Mrs. WIlkes Dining Room and two blocks from Crystal Beer Parlor. The famous Clary's Cafe is just a few blocks east and we are minutes from Broughton Street, River Street and Forsyth Park!

Getting Around:
Aside from being able to walk to everything, if you should need a ride, we suggest taking Uber/Lyft as parking can be a nightmare. There is also a FREE shuttle bus called The Dot that connects you all around town and it is just around the corner at Whitaker and Jones. This runs until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights!

Other Things to Note:
Be sure to bring your walking shoes! The historical nature of Savannah and its's breathtaking architecture also means lots of uneven surfaces around town! It's part of the fun :)

Jesse Mount Carriage House

Extremely clean, quaint and cozy property. Private, stand alone building and entrance was great! Every amenity was provided as advertised. Kitchen and eating area was perfect for lounging around and having breakfast before heading out and seeing the sites for the day. Access to restaurants, shopping and historic squares/museums all within walking distance. Finally, Jones street is the epitome of the old South dating back to Colonial times. We would definitely recommend this property for a long weekend (or longer) stay!

Charming apartment in lovely location

This is a lovely place with beautiful decor in a great location in Savannah. The apartment is reached by a staircase, which doesn't make it ideal for guests with mobility issues. But for my wife and I, it suited us perfectly for our stay of 3 nights in early April. The whole apartment is very clean and overlooks a beautiful courtyard to the front, and a back alley with very little traffic to the back. Hence, it was very quiet for being in a large city. Brandon and Chase were quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again, should we ever return to Savannah.

Savannah Jones Street

The stay was fantastic. Only downside was the stairs. The parking was as bad as stated. You don’t need to feed the meter if you download the Parking Savannah app. You can do the meter with the app. It was a great location. We were able to easily get to all the places and things that we had planned on seeing this trip

A delightful place to stay in Savannah

This was a great place to stay in Savannah, bright, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The location on one of the prettiest streets in the old city, within walking distance of all that we wanted to see, was very convenient. Communication with the owners was excellent to include clear and comprehensive instructions on how to locate and enter the carriage house. The apartment is a single large room containing a king-size bed, sofa, and a table with four chairs plus a separate kitchen and a huge bathroom with both a shower and a jacuzzi style tub. We would eagerly stay there again.

Great place for couple to stay

We had a great time at Brandon and Chase’s place. Was easy to Uber to from the airport and was located in a quiet neighborhood on a gorgeous street, but easy to walk virtually everywhere we wanted to go in < 20 min (we did not rent a car and did not feel we needed one). Not an ideal setup if you’re looking to do lots of cooking, but perfect if you are like us and looking to enjoy all the restaurants Savannah has to offer and maybe store a couple of leftovers for midnight snacks. We did have one hiccup with the A/C breaking, but Chase and Brandon were very responsive and got it fixed in less than a day! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming, cozy studio!

Perfect 30th Anniversary!

This property was perfect for our visit to Savannah! After visiting several times we wanted to stay in a peaceful more residential location - but still be able to walk most places. We couldn't have been happier. Jones street is beautiful and this property clean and quiet. We still walked everywhere we wanted and enjoyed the nearby squares and parks. Felt very safe. Just overall one of our best stays in Savannah - would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and super clean apartment

My sister and I loved staying at this lovely apartment! It was very clean and pretty well stocked. It is easy to find & access, but there is one pretty steep set of stairs leading up to the entry door. Mattress and bedding are super comfortable, and it is a REALLY quiet area. I did suggest to the property manager that some extra lighting would be nice in the den/bedroom area, as we only had one working lamp. Overall, we would stay here again!

Had a little issue hooking up to Wi-Fi. Owner was very available and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone wanting to prepare a meal it’s just not set up that way. Again, owner was the best and what a cuddly little place.

The carriage house is the perfect place to stay if you're looking something away from the hustle and bustle but still within walking distance of everything. Coming 'home' every night to Jones Street was magical.
