BH5 is a 1 bedroom 1 bath condo, located on the 2nd floor with no elevator access. This one bedroom condo has 2 Queen beds in the bedroom and 2 Full size pull out sofas in the Living room. This condo does not have a full kitchen.
The complex amenities include a heated swimming pool, community charcoal grills, community game room, a playground, and a private boardwalk to the beach.
Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only.
Per HOA: Before traveling to Port Aransas/Beachhead Condos, please plan the correct number of vehicles you drive in accordance to the rules below. Properly planning the correct number of vehicles prior to your departure will enhance your vacation experience:
Beachhead Condos allows parking for 2 vehicles maximum. Golf carts do count as vehicles. Violators will be towed by the HOA

Amazing Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location was absolutely amazing we walked right to the beach. The pool was heated and perfect for the cooler weather we had. The only negatives were the kitchen in the clubhouse had absolutely zero cooking utensils or pots/pans. We didn’t think we would need to bring those. Also the room only had 1 fork, knife and spoon. We were a group of 6 so that didn’t help much. Also the fire alarm went off every time I made toast. Great stay but make sure to be prepared if you plan on cooking.

Disappointed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at other units in Beachead. Unfortunately, this one was a disappointment. First, sheets on the sofa bed were dirty and had not been changed. The shower is completely outdated 1950s style. The unit feels dark and cold and one bathroom is not enough for six people. We will return to Beachead but not this unit. We actually left a day early. On the positive side, the location is great, the swimming pool is near by as are the games, and the price was good.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived a little after 4 keys were ready. Had 2 clearly marked parking spots. Coming back after spending some time out and about decided to use the pool which closes at midnight had the pool to ourselves for about an hour before retiring for the night. Early morning rise had my coffee poolside and watched the sun rise. A short ride and spent the day at the beach took a nap when I returned pleasantly quite. Went out came again late used the pool again solo and had a goodnights sleep. Keys turned in no hassle and headed north!

Not so great

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a nice place but we had a few issues. First we saw a rat in the living area. My nephew tried to catch it without any luck so it lurked in our room the entire stay. We spent a lot of time in the pool and were told the music was too loud which other people in the pool asked us to turn it up, 60s music. It was around 8pm so it wasn't late. Then we were "babysat" by a resident who just decided to sit at the pool right next to us and explain why the music needed to be lowered. My husband wanted to grill and was told he couldnt grill by the pool in the grassy area with his mini BBQ pit. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental looked just like the photographs.The kids enjoyed the pool and the quick access to the beach. The rental was walking distance from the downtown area.If you choose to stay here, be sure to bring the following items with you: Keurig pods (not regular coffee), plates and silverware,cups, shampoo and soap, and an extra blanket if you get cold at night. If you don't wish to travel with the above mentioned items, there is a well-priced Dollar General in close proximity to the rental.

Texas Sandfest 2023

Very clean room and property. Extra linens were Saran wrapped. The pool was a perfect temperature. The walk down to the beach was nice. Property itself was well manicured (you can tell the grounds keeper takes pride in his job). All staff I encountered all weekend were very friendly, we all wore our wristbands and used our parking passes. Prior to my visit the property owner was helpful answering all of my questions in a timely manner. It was a great weekend and we would definitely stay again.

I had several issues I went over them with Melissa at the front desk. Several small issues that it was a struggle to enjoy it considering it was $1,400 for 6 days.... that's an all-inclusive trip to Jamaica or somewhere in the Caribbean with the flight. Lol call me if you have any questions

Fun stay in Port A

We stayed a couple nights over Spring Break with our teens. It is a great location just off the beach! The heated pool and community area made our stay as the weather wasn't great for the beach. The property is cute and updated. The only negatives would be there isn't a full kitchen or dining area if you plan to stay more than a day or two, and you can't open all the window blinds as you look right out at the common areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Port Aransas

Suggest a closing sliding door from the bedroom to the hallway. Lights outside shine into the bedroom through the blinds at night so the bedroom wasn't completely dark. The Internet wasn't working on the last night of our stay.

It was not a bad walk to the beach and the complex was small and very quiet we hardly ever even saw anyone. When we first arrived our condo had no water and I called and they had someone come right out and they worked on it until we had water. Very helpful and quick response.

Nice Place

The unit was very clean with a big bedroom and living room. There isn't a kitchen just a sink, small fridge and microwave and there is not a TV in the bedroom but the pool is great! We couldn't figure how to turn the volume up on the TV but finally found it on the side of the remote! Property is clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Great for quick trip to the beach!

We wanted to see what the beaches and restaurants were like in Port A, but only had two nights. This turned out to be good option for us and our 3 kids - it was an easy walk down the boardwalk to the beach, plus there was a pool and game room to keep them busy. Our only complaints were that there was some smell of smoke - I think it drifted over from smokers at the pool, and the rooms didn't get very dark due to exterior lights shining through the curtains. Otherwise it was a great first experience to all that Port A has to offer and we're looking forward to returning. Note about the foosball table - at first we thought it didn't have any balls, but we discovered that sometimes you can slide the coin tray in and the balls will come out, or you can lift the top and pull them out from the tray inside. If you really care about air hockey or ping pong you might want to bring your own pucks/paddles/etc - it was hit or miss as to whether the community game room would have them in good working order. Note about beach toys/chairs/umbrellas/etc - there aren't any in the unit, but there are tons of places that sell them. You'll find the best prices at the CVS, then the grocery story, then the tourist places.
