Had to call the host to help us find the property. Easy walking distance to shops, museums, restaurants. Property was old but was very quiet, comfortable, private, well appointed, and parking was easy. Outdoor patio was great. Appliances were nice and kitchen well stocked. Bed was very comfortable and a fireplace was available but smelled even though it was cleaned. Lighting could have been brighter. We would stay here again.
This is a wonderful spot in old town! Close to everything. I would definitely stay here again. Very cozy and comfortable. Thank you so much! The Garlands.
The great reviews are true! Location can’t be beat, the little house is wonderful, cozy, and comfortable, and it’s great to bask in the sunshine outside in the yard. We didn’t rent a car. We could walk all around Old Town, enjoying local restaurants, stopping for yummy breakfast at Tiny Grover, or watch for the roadrunner at Blsckbird Cafe. It’s not far to the Pueblo Museum, you can take a nice stroll through the area to bird watching or fishing at Tingley Beach next to the Rio Grande, and it’s easy to take a Lyft to the train station for a lovely ride up to Santa Fe. What a great stay - we can’t wait to return.
Loved this little place just inside old town. We walked to shops, bars, dinner and just enjoyed the surrounding area. Great place, had a nice little fire, watched a movie at night. It has everything you need. Great place.
Denise, the host, is spectacular! Casa Azul and her guests are clearly her passion. We loved everything about it! They have beautiful and plentiful dishes/glasses/flatware, and almost all the luxuries of home. The lack of solid walls around the bedroom was surprisingly not very disturbing to me when I slept later than my hubby. The bed was also very comfortable. Loved the location and had a wonderful trip! Thanks so much Denise! We hope to visit Casa Azul again soon!
We loved our four nights at Casa Azul. The location is quiet and perfect for exploring Old Town. In just a few steps we were at the plaza listening to music and enjoying performances at the rotunda in the plaza. In addition, the casa is walking distance to many beautiful shops and restaurants. Inside, the home is very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well appointed. The private courtyard is an added bonus that we enjoyed each day. Overall, a top notch place and we highly recommend.
I love this little place! The location right in Old Towne Plaza is wonderful. I loved being able to walk to the park, coffee shop, and restaurants. It made for an easy relaxing vacation. The home is sweet. I love the tile floors and New Mexico design.
The property is very nice and has sufficient space for two guests. The garden is beautiful and private; the location could not be better for activities and restaurants in Albuquerque Old Town.
This little house, with its peaceful, shady, private courtyard is a true gem. It backs up to the historic square so you are literally 30 seconds from shopping, ice cream, coffee, art, and food. The stucco walled courtyard is covered with shade trees and even on the hottest day you can enjoy being outside. We've decided that this will be our official "vacation home" in NM.
Casa Azul is very well furnished and located in a safe and convenient area just off the Plaza. The decor is wonderful, it fits into the area perfectly! The bed was so comfortable, I thought I was in my own home. It was very enjoyable and we will definitely return!
Simply amazing, perfect cozy private location . Only steps from everything in old town. Would highly recommend to couples ,everyrhing you need to feel at home was provided by owners.
Would definitely stay here again!
Had a great time in old town at this unique casita. Perfect off the street quite location, nice private court yard with swing, and lots of cool art decorating the place.
In New Mexico, proximity to "The Plaza" is everything when you visit a locality. I live walking distance to the Mesilla Plaza, so finding that Casa Azul is literally one building behind the Old Town Plaza? Amazing. Charming, quiet, private and yet in the heart of things. We could not have been happier with this home and hope to return someday soon. The perfect base as we were in town to attend the Gathering of Nations. Do yourself a favor and walk over for dinner/drinks at Seared Bistro, too, then come back, enjoy a nice fire, and relax.
We love this little hideaway and return when we it is available at the time of a trip to see our daughter.
The house is cosy and comfortable. The garden is full of bird song and, on this trip, a flowering lilac.
The kitchen and bath are older - but have all you’ll need- including laundry.
It’s a quick drive to UNM if you are visiting a student and is in the heart of Old Town- such a lovely place to take an evening stroll or visit the museums!
I wish I had more stars to give for the location! This is right in the heart of Old Town and yet tucked away and so is relatively quiet. It's got a small-ish kitchen, but is extremely well appointed. We would definitely stay here again.
We just love Casa Azul. Super comfortable for us and the location is central to the activities we enjoy the most. Well appointed with everything we need for a stay.
We highly recommend this property to folks traveling to Albuquerque looking for a first class experience.
Casa Azul is a perfect lil spot for a stay in Albuquerque. It is in a great location to frequent Old Town and all of the activity there as well as plenty of other great restaurants. Everything was clean and looks exactly like the pics. The outdoor patio area was great for having a morning cup of coffee while enjoying the sun. It was slightly cold when we were there so I can only imagine it's a perfect place for an outdoor meal in the warmer months. The owner was very accessible and available to help with any concerns. And hands down, one of the best parts of Casa Azul is the beautiful fireplace. It was great to end the day of being out and about with a nice drink just sitting in front of the fireplace. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends who are traveling to the area.
A wondeful vintage home with beautiful private patio. Sooo New Mexican style with brick and tile floors and colorful southwestern art everywhere. Loved the fun Route 66 touches as well. If you are tired of staying in bland hotel rooms then this is the place. It is authentic and tranquil. It is right in Old Town where there are numerous little shops and my favorite restaurant on Church St. We were so comfortable staying in Casa Azul. Highly reccomend it.
