We had four generations of family that got together for a week! We enjoyed the stay. Our grandchild enjoyed the swing and slide and swimming!! The adults enjoyed playing cornhole and swimming and grilling out!! Very nice accommodations for a family get together.
What a great place for our family of 11 to stay for the week. We ranged in age from 5 to 71. The breeze off this lakefront property was refreshing. There lits of activities available on site as well as nearby.
The outside area of this property is beautiful! Many things for the kids to do, the swim platform being their favorite! Beds were very comfortable. We would definitely rent again
The location of the house on the lake was nice. The only areas of opportunity we dealt with were that the fridge was dirty, and the coffee maker had old grounds in it from a previous guest. It would’ve been nice to have a broom to help keep the place tidy while we were there.
This place worked out great for our fishing trip. Everyone had a great time with no real complaints. Place had alot to offer we didnt even get to take advantage of. Was a pretty setting in the winter would imagine its even better in the summer.
First and foremost, Nate was a very accommodating property owner. He respons to emails quickly and answers any questions you may have.
This cabin seems like it would be a great place to stay in the summer and fall, but we stayed in February and had trouble keeping the place warm. That is my only complaint.
The space and layout were exactly as expected from the pictures, and we had a very good time. Only the weather kept it from being perfect. We enjoyed hanging on the small beach and in the water on the two nice days. The back sun room with views of the lake was a great place to hang on the bad weather days. Also enjoyed our late evenings around the fire.
Our family booked this adorable cottage last minute, as our original plans with extended family were canceled due to valid concerns of travel during this Covid-19 situation. We checked in on a Monday and checked out on Friday. A quick trip, but just enough time. Nate was very accessible for any questions or concerns.
Upon arrival, all was exactly as described. Very clean, neat and uncluttered. Beds were comfortable, plenty electrical outlets and fans (no AC here, but not a problem w/ breeze coming off Houghton Lake & tons of windows in the cottage.) Hooks, towels & basic supplies in bedrooms & bathrooms added to this user friendly rental. Internet was up to date and speedy.
Parking was available for at least 5 or 6 vehicles. Quiet street, although not far off of busy road with a bit of traffic noise at times. Outside shed had extra chairs, firewood, rafts, etc. Plenty of chaise lounges for relaxing on beach. We used the boat lift with no issues. Sandy lake floor and knee deep clear water at least 300 ft out! Perfect location for watching sunsets, which were AMAZING each evening.
A bonus for us: dogs allowed! Our 2 German Shepherds loved every second of their 1st lake adventure together. We will definitely plan on booking here again! Thanks Nate for sharing your property with us :)
