Riverside Nest is a true couple's Retreat. A secluded mountain cabin perched above the Ellijay River with 101 steps down from the cabin to the beach area, hammock deck. Topside on the cabin's huge deck is a covered gazebo with a gas firepit and a hot tub with a cover lift. There is a fenced area for your pup with access to both the front deck and hot tub deck. The cabin offers a large cathedral ceiling king bedroom with a 32 inch TV. The living area has vaulted ceilings and is perfect for cuddling in front of the gas log fireplace or watching your favorite movie on the 55 inch smart TV with YouTube TV's 85 channel service (Includes sports and local) & Netflix & DVD player. There is also a bluetooth speaker for listening to your favorite songs. The Kitchen offers: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and espresso machine, with a wall of windows overlooking the Ellijay River and beautiful wooded views while dining. Riverside Nest is a perfect place to getaway with the one you love.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. Perfect Valentine Getaway for Couples

We enjoyed everything about our stay. It was a great last minute getaway and the cabin was exceptional. The extra attention to details in every space made the stay even better. The cabin has so many cozy spaces. We especially loved the decor, the cozy blankets, fireplace, Bluetooth speakers, kitchen and chairs overlooking the river below, the bedroom space, the extra doggie treats and bed, and even the emerald green cabinet pulls. We especially enjoyed the covered bridge being lit up on our way in and out each day too. A very quiet place to retreat and enjoy nature. Highly recommended.

We Love Rivers Nest!

Awesome cabin experience, we loved the cabin and especially the back deck with the gazebo. the cabin is fully stocked and ready, our dogs loved the fenced in yard. very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. loved being the last cabin on the road so we heard no cars only the river and the wildlife.

It’s private, quiet and a great place to retreat. The drive is fine up to the entrance of the property about .5 miles you’ll need a 4x4 and be experienced driver. We had a truck 4x2 which the wheels spun a few times. Aside from the ingress & egress it was pleasant.

We felt very comfortable! We enjoyed hearing the Ellijay River and seeing the wildlife! We saw deer daily. We did the 101 stair challenge! We loved the location. The owners have decorated the cabin so beautifully and whimsically! The bed was very comfortable! The linens, towels & robes were all very soft and generous ! The cabin was just the right size! We enjoyed fresh ground coffee every morning and Lu-Lu loved her treats that were there just for her! I enjoyed the coloring book & pencils! We sat out by the fire nightly with the lights. It felt like we were in a tree house! We had an amazing time and look forward to next year! Thanks for having us!!

The cabin was fully prepared with utensils pans washing machine wifi not that you need to be on line much. The nights were full of beautiful sounds and tranquility. You get use to the katydids and the music that they produces ties the river for the perfect sound to sleep to. We wish we could of stayed longer.

I cooked all my meals there. The fire pit and hot tub were top notch. The only thing I would recommend is to maybe grade the drive way where to take the sharp right leaving the cabin. You can tell it's getting a bit slick. I will definitely be back again!

When you live in a tourist town such as ours it is imperative to get away for some peace and quiet. Everything was perfect. Sliding Rock Cabins is a joy to work with. This was the first time we have ever been to the Ellijay and Blue Ridge area and it was great! The house is secluded and right on the river. We spent the evening with our chairs in the river. Such a relaxing and peaceful time! The rental had plenty of room for my husband and I and our puppins. We love sitting in the cabin listening to the river through the windows. The kitchen has everything we needed as well. We will definitely be back!

The sound of the river rushing over rocks is so relaxing, the gazebo area with gas fire feature is cozy & magical at night with the gazebo and deck strung bulb lights. The skylights in the bedroom are perfect for star gazing. We really, really loved this cabin and will be back!The only thing we’ll note for next visit is that there wasn’t a microwave as listed, no paper towels were provided, and the fireplace doesn’t have a gas starter so kindling or a starter stick is needed (they provide plenty of firewood, though!)

Truly a Riverside Nest

The only sounds you’ll hear are the birds and the rushing of the river down below. It rained several of the days we were there, but we didn’t mind because the cabin was so cozy and we could curl up and read on the couch or in one of the chairs by the window. The road to the cabin is winding and only one lane in places which can be a little intimidating, but most vehicles won’t have a problem if slow and cautious. Highly recommend Riverside Nest, and we will definitely return!

Lovely Stay!

We spent our evenings on the back porch taking in the beautiful view/sounds over the water, enjoying the fire pit, and watching the many birds in the trees surrounding the cabin. Highly recommend! The only note I’d make to future renters traveling with dogs is that the “fenced yard” is a gravel path around the back of the house. There is no fenced grass and no enclosed space for medium/large pups to run/play off leash. We totally appreciated their very welcoming dog policy and extra special touches (treats, waste bags, bowls, bed, etc) - just elaborating on the fenced yard mentioned in the listing so that others traveling with dogs can prepare accordingly. Our dogs did enjoy taking a leashed walk down the stairs to the water! Thanks for a great stay!

The magical Treehouse

The cabin was immaculate with everything we needed to enjoy our stay with our two fur babies! I got to relax to a beautiful thunderstorm with the lightning coming through the sky lights. The hot tub was another bonus because I had a failed back surgery and it made the pain bearable,the comfortable robes after enjoying the hot tub were the icing on the cake!. We used the walking sticks to hike each day,thank you for that. We enjoyed evenings sitting by the fireplace with a glass of wine. Saw deer everyday we were there!! I did make it down to the creek,walking slowly and enjoying all the nature around me. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful cabin with us. The perfect getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the best time at Riverside Nest. We will be back ! We enjoyed sitting our chairs in the river and taking walks with our dog. We saw several deer and other wildlife. The amount of amenities offered was incredible and we took advantage of the kitchen and grill the entire time we w there. The only cons about the place: Given directions were very confusing. Once we’re were there it was fine, but make sure you route your trip like we did. Make sure you have a good vehicle. The roads are dirt/rock once you turn off and can be steep. The only road we had difficulty with was the one going to the cabin. It is very steep and has ruts. On the way out we spun tires, but thankfully made it out. We will definitely be back. I only give an honest review so that the next stayers are prepared.
