Beautiful, cozy, close to town
Exactly as pictured- so lovely. Plenty of space to spread out. Katie was very communicative and helpful. Gave great recommendations- like ordering from Port Lobster and doing a lobster bake on the deck. It was so great! Will def book for my next group visit.

Excellent location
The property is extremely close to Dock Side Square. Walking to the coast was a regular morning treat. The house was huge and everyone in our family loved it. A couple of us had to work and they found the Wi-Fi was excellent. There are so many rooms that if you needed some quiet time away from the group you had your pick. The little kids 2, 3, and 4 loved playing with their toys in the sunroom. The Dutch door acted like a baby gate. The room off the driveway entrance was our favorite as it had easy access to the backyard and deck. The backyard was a great place to let the kids get their wiggles out. It felt so private with the landscaping you wouldn’t have known we were in a neighborhood. The fire pit was lovely to sit by at night. The kitchen was big and no one was on top of each other when we were cooking. There are two ovens and a six burner cooktop so plenty of space for cooking multiple meals at once. It was also pretty well stocked. We are very particular in how we treat our own home so the helpful notes around the house were welcomed. The refrigerator and freezer are huge so you will have plenty of space for your needs. The Clam Shack is in walking distance as is Roma Pizza. We shopped at the Kennebunk Hannafords as it was nicer than the one in Wells. There are great children’s shops in the Square too. It wasn’t noisy at night so perfect for those that want to get good sleep. The beds were soft and comfy. Highly recommend this beautiful historic home.

Excellent Family Vacation Location
We enjoyed the close proximity to the restaurants and shops in Kennebunkport. The beds were comfortable and we used both cribs. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking lobster. We had a little hiccup with the propane gas running out but we used the outdoor grill and Katie was quick to respond and correct the problem. We loved Mother’s Beach for the young children since it also had a playground. We watched a sunrise at Walker’s Point and the sunset while enjoying dinner in Kennebunkport and along Ocean Ave. We also took Kylie’s Chance lobster tour which was a great child friendly boat ride. We finished off the week with S’mores at the fire pit in the backyard.

A lovely week in Kennebunkport
Our family enjoyed our stay at Katie's home. The location was great. In the past, we've stayed within walking distance of the beaches, and it was nice to stay closer to town this year. We enjoyed our short strolls to the shops and restaurants, and figured out a nice system for beach drop offs as well. We had some issues with two of the AC split units on our first night, so we left a message with Katie. We heard back the next day with an update that she'd contacted the company who installed the units. She checked in regularly until the units were fixed. If you are looking for an historic home with charm to match, this is a nice option. The cribs were great for the adults with an infant, and the twin bed room was fun for the cousins to share. We spent every night on the screened in porch and were grateful for that space. Katie was easy to work with and we had a great week.

What a Fun Birthday!
I invited seven friends to join me at the Cup & Saucer for my 75th birthday. We had so much fun. Though we didn’t do much cooking we could have easily cooked and served a five course meal. A special thank for for helping make my birthday so memorable.

Historic Gem
This colonial home was beautiful and perfect for our family reunion! The home was built in 1784 and was expanded to preserve its original charm. We all felt like we were living in a museum as the home is filled with antique furniture and furnishings. The amenities were superb! There was plenty of space for large family dinners and offices for those who had to work remotely. We used the back yard for badminton, lawn darts and fire pit gatherings. The location cannot be beat; it is a short 5-minute walk to town. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the Cup and Saucer!!!

Our family had such a wonderful experience in Kennebunkport and this house was absolutely perfect. It was clean and had all of the amenities so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Great location, beautiful house
We had a wonderful stay at the Cup & Saucer House. Katie was a very accommodating host and seemed like she really wanted us to have a great time at her house. The house is incredibly spacious and well located -- just a short walk to town. There is a great screened-in porch and a beautiful, large yard.

Beautiful Historic Home
This property was just as described in the listing. Walking distance to everything in town, spacious rooms, bathrooms galore. Katie was an amazing hostess and made sure we were happy and settled in. We used the fire pit several times to make smores in the evenings which may have been my son's favorite part of the stay! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in town.

Couldn’t Have Been Better!
My three kids, their spouses and I spent a week at Cup and Saucer. The house is not only lovely, but so comfortable and warm. The kitchen has everything you need and then some. We loved having s’mores by the fire pit. Location was great - walk to town, day trip to Portland or Olgunquit. And Katie was easy to reach and very gracious and helpful.

Perfect home for two families with small children!
We stay here with our family (2 adults and three children ages 6, 4, and 2) and my brother’s family also 2 adults and 3 kids the same ages. The house could not have been more perfect for us! The house was well equip with everything we needed including beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels! The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. Our kids loved running around in the back yard and we enjoyed eating outside on the deck most nights. The house is also a very short walk to town which was great for our crew. And Katie is an excellent host. She checked in frequently to make sure we were enjoying our stay and was available before, during and after our stay to answer any questions we had. We would definitely return to this property and highly recommend this house for two families with small children to share.

Lovely home away from home
We had a great time at the Cup & Saucer. The house is impeccably furnished, with all the comforts of home. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and work and play. Backyard is sumptuous and we enjoyed evenings out in nature by the fire pit. Walking distance from town is a plus - you can pop in for ice cream or pharmacy or to pick up takeout! Katie was a great host. Thank you!

Amazing home to spend time with your family
The Cup and Saucer House is not just a place to stay but an incredibly comfortable home to spend time in with your family. We know the area well so we weren’t just looking for a place to stay but a home we could spread out in and enjoy each other’s company, cooking together, celebrating with multiple living spaces so ten of us could spread out. Historic charm combined with modern amenities made this a magical experience. Everyone kept saying it felt like being in a Hallmark movie.

Lovely home, full of history and character
My family of 8 could not have been more pleased with our stay. From Katie's helpfulness, to the home's historical charm, convenience and space, we really enjoyed ourselves. Katie even went above and beyond by recommending places our family would enjoy (we did!) and thinking through how our 18 month old could make the most of his trip. Truly an excellent experience! Hope to be back soon.

A delightful and well stocked perfectly located house that met the needs of our family of 10.
The perfect home in the perfect location for my very discriminating family. All 10 of us found the cup and saucer historical home A total delight and the owner Katie, the most helpful and available for all our needs. The property and location were the best and we were able to experience Maine and Kennebunkport in all its splendor . Even the trolley car tour of the area stopped at “our” house to include it as a very impressive and important part of the history of the area. This house had the most wonderful kitchen, outdoor yard and comfortable bedrooms totally stocked with every thing we might want or need. We loved that we could walk into town from our home for many wonderful restaurants, shops, scenery, and ice cream too! Lots of activities nearby like blueberry and raspberry picking, kayaking, beaches and more beaches, hiking, and even a water park and amusement park nearby!! The 4 kids were happy and the 6 adults were thrilled ! Katie said we’d Love the house and we did !! If you are thinking about this property, don’t think another minute, just do it !

The Perfect Home for Relaxation
The Cup and Saucer home provided our much needed rest and relaxation. We immediately headed for the back yard and sat around the fire pit with our cocktails. We ordered some lobsters from Port Lobster and headed up to the deck afterwards where we dived into a huge two pounder already cooked and cracked for us. Upon waking the next morning, we decided to head into town over the bridge to HB Provisions to grab the local weekly paper and plan our days in The Port and its environs. Then we headed with our coffee to Kennebunk Beach to watch all the beach activity before hitting all the shops in town. Later in the day, we walked down the hill from our home and strolled along Beach Avenue towards Walkers Point. We decided to hit the Arundel Inn porch for the next day's cocktails and dinner. We decided that part of our time would be spent visiting the area antique shops before heading to Ogunquit for a hike. Another hike we planned was to Rachel Carson's Wildlife Preserve and hitting Parsons Beach nearby for a picnic. We can already see that we will have to return to this peaceful haven as there is so much to do.

A pristine historic home in a pristine setting
What a fun filled time our family experienced in this lovely well appointed home. A lobster bake on the deck with a freshly baked blueberry pie with the blueberries we picked on a farm was our most favorite dinner our first night. Our days were filled with trips to Mothers' Beach in Kennebunk, Goose Rocks Beach and enjoying a cocktail at The Tides and another at Earth. We spent a lot of time in the Adrirondeck chairs in the backyard while our girls made a swing to hang from the apple tree. We loved walking down the hill from the house to the public park overlooking the water and our walks into town for dinner at Hurricanes and an ice cream up the hill. Our best view was from the porch of the Arundel Inn before dinner. Our family is already planning a return trip to this spacious and comfortable home because there is so much left to experience in the town and other areas close by.

Host profile image
We bought this lovely historic home to enjoy with our children and grandchildren. We enjoy inviting our friends up as well to share this comfortable home and large yard for cookouts and lobster bakes.

Why they chose this property

Our Cup and Saucer home appealed to us because of its uniqueness. Though the third oldest home in Kennebunkport built in 1784, it has been lovingly restored with everything supplied for an easy getaway. One of our grandchildren’s favorite things to do is to take a short walk into town to buy ice cream and explore the shops. Our home just up the hill for Ocean Avenue for beautiful walking or biking as well as adjacent to two public parks.

What makes this property unique

Our home’s unique benefits is its spaciousness so everyone can spread out in its five bedrooms, four living rooms plus a quiet sunroom overlooking the backyard. Our private yard is perfect for toasting marshmallows, having cocktails around the fire pit,
playing yard games, croquet and kickball. The upper deck is perfect for grilling or having a lobster bake. Our home offers all of the creature comforts of home and is easy walking distance to town and a short bike ride or car ride to the beach.
