The farm is located in the old town center of Eisenach and, with its good transport connections, offers a balanced mix between nightly tranquility and the proximity to sights in Bitburg, Trier (each about 20 km) and Luxembourg (about 10 km away). In the vicinity is Irrel with its waterfalls, the "Devil's Gorge" and a West Wall Museum.
In the immediate vicinity there are opportunities to go for a walk, hike and simply relax in the courtyard under the parasol - or just read a book in the cozy Bullerjan wood-burning stove with a glass of wine.
Most guests come to enjoy space, time and silence, which is why television, dishwasher and telephone were deliberately avoided in the house - cell phone reception is usually not good. In addition, there is now a Blu-Ray player (also for DVDs and CDs) with a monitor, a table tennis table and a darts game. You can grill outside.
There is a brochure for sights, hiking maps and a selection of non-fiction and novels.
There are wooden floors everywhere except in the kitchens and hallways.
After parking directly at the house in the courtyard, you enter the house through the ground-level front door.
Ground floor - There are two kitchens in the centrally heated, approx. 100sqm house: Firstly, the fully equipped new kitchen with 4-ring ceramic hob and oven, refrigerator with 3-star freezer, 5L hot water device under the sink, kettle, coffee machine, complete set of pots with pans, Cooking utensils, dishes and cutlery, tea and coffee pots, tea towels, potholders and spices. On the other hand, the old kitchen for connoisseurs - in it you have the opportunity to cook with the wood provided on the old cooktop. The old stone oven is unfortunately no longer in operation. We then eat at the 2m long table in the parlor - there is space for up to 10 people. There is also a sofa that can be pulled out for two people to sleep (1.40 m wide). There is music from the radio and CD player - an aux cable is available for playing from your iPod or smartphone.
The technology for heating, water and electricity is housed in the "cellar room" on the ground floor. There you will also find cleaning equipment and the clothes horse - food supplies and drinks that are to be kept somewhat cooler can also be stored there.
The old stairs lead from the old kitchen to the upper floor, as was customary in the past.
Upper floor - there are 2 bedrooms, each with a French bed (1.40 m wide) - bedding is available - and the bathroom with shower, bath, toilet, urinal and sink. A hair dryer is available, towels are provided.
From the hall on the upper floor you can reach the attic via the preserved, original staircase.
DG - The attic consists of a large room - open to the ridge - which is used as a living room. In addition to the central heating, there is a Bullerjan wood stove that invites you to sit comfortably and as an alternative heat source. The wood for this is provided. In addition, two additional sleeping places are possible there as required.
