About this property

Stylish, secluded cabin minutes from the Biltmore and downtown

Welcome to Haw Creek Hideaway, a newly remodeled midcentury style cabin. The house is nestled into the trees and provides privacy and serenity, yet it is just 5 miles from downtown Asheville and the Biltmore, and only 3.1 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway (milepost 382.6—Route 70/Tunnel Rd. crossing). Relax on the spacious deck with your favorite beverage and enjoy all the wildlife that call the NC mountains home—deer, turkey, hawks, owls, hummingbirds, chipmunks, and even black bears are frequent sightings! Roast marshmallows around the fire pit or spend some family time playing board games or video games in the family room—it’s up to you! Whether you are visiting Asheville for the hiking, biking, art and music scene, breweries, eclectic dining, or to visit the world famous Biltmore Estate, the cabin will provide a comfortable, private home base for you!

The sun-drenched main living area includes your kitchen, dining room, and living room; please note that our fireplace is not operational. Take you coffee or wine out to the spacious deck and enjoy winter mountain views; in the summer you will feel as though you are in a treehouse! When you are ready for a meal, the kitchen is fully stocked with new pots and pans and appliances; for your morning cup o' Joe, we offer a choice of a brew pot, Keurig, or French press.

The primary bedroom on the main floor features a luxurious king bed, and the newly remodeled en suite bathroom features a rainfall shower head with room for even the tallest guest! Wind up the spiral staircase to the other two guest bedrooms with an updated Jack and Jill bathroom. All beds feature new Casper memory foam mattresses. When you are ready for entertainment, head out to the outdoor fire pit and stare into the hypnotizing flames—firewood is provided! If you have had enough of the outdoors for the day, the basement provides fun for all with a spacious sectional, 65” smart TV with classic Playstation games, and an assortment of puzzles and games.

Both smart TVs provide access to a wide variety of free channels and apps; premium channels such as Netflix, HBO, Disney plus, Amazon video, etc. will require your own login. Multiple user streaming is possible with an approximate download speed of 330 Mbps. A washer and dryer are provided in the garage for your convenience.

We regret that we cannot host children under the age of 6 (with the exception of infants that cannot walk) as we have widely spaced railings on the second floor that present a fall hazard.

Please note that we have two security cameras on the property, both of which can capture audio and video 24/7 on demand and when motion detected. One is facing the driveway, and one is located in the garage facing the entry door. There is a motion detector in the living room that does not capture audio or video, but communicates directly with the security company in case of a break in.

The Ideal Asheville Stay

I can’t overstate how perfect this house was for our ladies weekend. If you love a mid-century gem, this is the place for you!! Enjoy coffee on the wrap around deck or cozy up in the main room flooded with sunlight from the floor to ceiling windows. The house is updated with all modern amenities. We had everything we needed, slept comfortably and received clear, quick communication from our host. Highly recommend!

Lovely, clean house in Asheville

House was exactly as pictured. Beautiful, green setting tucked back in the hills. Driveway was a bit steep, but nothing unmanageable. Exceptionally clean, easy check in, would definitely stay again!

Great experience!

This home was very well set up and in a great location. It is about 10-15 minutes for downtown Asheville and we had no trouble calling Ubers on nights we wanted to go out. The house itself has everything you need and everything was very clean. Check in process was super easy. I would definitely stay again!

Euro cozy

We stayed on one of the coldest days in recent history. The host kept in close communication with us about road conditions, and added space heaters as most places in the area are not designed for sub-zero (f) temps. The overall feel is calm and comforting with high quality bedding, furniture and bathroom fixtures. We appreciated the choice for quality materials and decor over quantity of excessive items.

Asheville getaway

Great property with beautiful views in the tree tops. House is very thoughtfully appointed and well decorated. Super easy check in and check out. Easy access to downtown! Do recommend 4 wheel drive car to access the property! Our kids loved the game room/tv room. Feels secluded but still close to all activity. Can’t wait to go back!
