Design Notes: We were going for "playfully quaint and fanciful. . .", the very definition of "Whimsey". Just what every Disney vacation should be about! Whimsey of Windsor Hills!

Pool Notes: Our lovely pool is southwest facing, with lots of sun! Check out the pictures of the pool loungers at 10:00 in the morning in February, be sure to pack those sunglasses! Pool/Spa heat is available for only $25 a day, but is totally optional. So just let us know when you book if this is something you would like.

For security purposes home is protected with a Ring doorbell and exterior security cameras.

Tolle Zeit in einem tollen Haus

Tolle Gated Community, tolles Haus, leichter Check-in, selbst Besuch aus DE konnte ohne Probleme oder Zusatzkosten bei uns ein paar Tage bleiben. Sehr flexibel und schnelle Antworten von Carol. Great location and perfect size

We really enjoyed Whimsey home in Windsor Hills; everything was great, and the pictures and description were accurately described. Our granddaughters enjoyed both the themed bedrooms and the toys to play with. It was a dream to have 3 king sized beds to accommodate the 3 sets of adults. We all slept well. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of appliances. We spent time in the pool, cooling off after the hot sunny days in the parks, and eating dinner outside while the girls played. In addition, we had fun playing the various games in the game room, which easily accommodated our group of 8, all on different games. The resort pool/hot tub/splash zone were enjoyed particularly by our 7 & 9 yo granddaughters. The Disney parks were so close and easily accessible, heading out early we encountered no traffic or parking hassles. Of course, we had a grand time in all 4 parks, but we all wished we had one more day to relax and enjoy your fantastic home and community. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Thank you, Carol, for your prompt responses to our questions. We appreciate your time and attention to your guests.

Great House with Extended Family

We loved this house and wish we could have spent more time there. I think the kids would have liked to have cancelled a park day. My mom wants the kids play tea set as it was so adorable. We had 4, 8, and 10 year old's and they loved it. My daughter keeps asking to go back to "her" Frozen room. The pics online are great but, in person that room is a little girls dream. The pool and hot tub were amazing and a perfect size. I was very concerned about the safety aspect as my daughter is 4 and loves to swim. I was afraid she'd wake up early and try to sneak out there. When we first arrived the guys couldn't figure out the lock on the door to get out there which was humorous, when I figured it out and opened the door it beeps very loudly twice. I would never sleep through that beep (light sleeper). Lastly there's a net gate thing as a third deterrent. With all of those safety features I was no longer concerned. Bonus you can turn off the beeping for after the kids go to sleep and sneak out to the hot tub yourself without alerting them. The game room was a blast for the older boys and the adults had fun in there. Strollers galore!!! It was so nice to not have to bring the stroller while traveling and not pay extra for the rentals at the park. Just an extra touch that made this house special. Recommendations would be curtains to block out more light for better sleep and to upgrade all the beds as they are not the most comfortable that was the only negative from our group.

Fun for Families!

We arrived to Whimsey of Windsor Hills for an extended family vacation with 3 families. It was beautiful, clean, and had everything we would want inside and out! The cousins bunked together in the two themed kids rooms and loved it! Toys were provided to match the theming, so when they woke up in the morning things stayed quiet for a while. All the grown-ups had their own private spaces too. There were several strollers to choose from for our park days, and several appliances to try out in the kitchen for the days we decided to stay home. The backyard pool was perfect for quick swims or lazy days at home! I was glad for the removable fence that blocked it off so that kids wouldn't have access without an adult. There were a number of floats and pool toys to play with.

Short and sweet

The pictures matched the house. It was a little smaller than we had originally thought. The house could use a deep clean. We had to wash quite a few bed linens before getting in bed and when we went to the closet to get extra blankets they were all dirty with either hair or stains. Just made the whole house feel gross after that. Not a so pleasant smell coming from kitchen sink. The baby gate was broken so we bought our own. Owners did order a piece for the broken one but we didn’t want to be bothered with it. Wish the pool could have been cleaned during our stay. The trash aspect was a hassle. You put your trash in a small bench like container on the porch but with a house this size you’re obviously coming with a big group and this container didn’t even hold one bag of trash and animals kept getting in it and making a huge mess. And then of course it’s at your front door so it stinks. I was quite upset with this house choice. I expected more but honestly just felt disgusted. The owners were easy to get in contact with and always responded so there’s that.

Couldn’t be happier

We planned a family trip for a week to enjoy Disney World. This property was the PERFECT choice for the needs of 6 adults and 2 boys (6 and 8 years old). Getting to and from the parks was an absolute breeze! On the days we took off from the Disney experience we enjoyed the gigantic community pool with the splash pad, water slides, and concession stand. The villa itself was perfect for us as well, enough space for the adults and kids to enjoy each other but also enjoy time apart (sometimes it is nice when the kids can just play in the playroom or watch TV while the adults were able to catch up and enjoy some quiet time!)!

This house was just what we needed. We had 4 families, with a total of 10 people, and plenty of room for everyone. There is a door alarm going out to the pool area and a safety fence (much needed with littles). There was plenty of dishes and silverware for everyone. Kids enjoyed the game room as their electronics were limited to 1 hour daily. Carol was very easy to communicate with and was very understanding when my granddaughter accidentally took home the wifi password card. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of hot water for everyone. Overall a very nice stay!

Great location and amenities!

This house worked out great for our Disney trip! It was super convenient to the parks and we enjoyed the pool and game room as well as the community playground and water park on our rest days. The kids loved the themed bedrooms, toys and karaoke machine! Carol was extremely responsive and great to work with. We would definitely stay in this house again for a future trip!

Fantastic family holiday vaction home.

We loved this house, it’s location, the resort and area in general. The layout and facilities in the house are excellent. The bedrooms excellent and totally suited our family very well. Our only disappointment was that the pool lights did not work during our stay, whilst our host did try to get this resolved unfortunately this was not completed by the time we had to return home. This meant we could not allow our grandchildren to use the pool after dark. In addition the pool pump went faulty the day before our departure and the pool cooled down very quickly.

Excellent stay!!

We stayed at Carol's property for part of our hoilday to Florida from the UK. The location is excellent, being extremely close to the Disney parks and a 30min drive to Universal. The property itself was very good, accommodating two families with ease. The pool provided much fun when not in the parks and the communal pool area also very good. The gated community is lovely - meticulously clean, very secure and a pleasure to stay in. All in all, I can thoroughly recommend the property for those would be travellers looking for a place to stay when visiting Orlando.

I am a mom and a grandma. My husband Greg and I have 2 grown children and 2 super cute granddaughters. My background is Interior Design, and Greg is a retired IT manager who loves to golf. We live in Michigan and have recently purchased our Windsor Hills vacation home which we are very excited to share with our family. . . and all of you! We spent the better part of 2 months updating Whimsey, with the help of 2 very dear friends. We love it, and hope you will as well when you visit and become part of our Whimsical Family!

Why they chose this property

After an extensive property search this is the one that pulled at the heart strings. And I do mean extensive! We toured homes in every neighborhood anywhere near Disney. Windsor Hills as a neighborhood just had to be it. You can't get any closer to Disney. We love the resort pool, club house, and especially the water park. Other neighborhoods may be newer, but you can't beat the charm of Windsor Hills. Especially the children's castle themed play park! It's the fairy tale park of every child's dream.

What makes this property unique

Once we narrowed it down to Windsor Hills, we chose our home for it's location, floor plan and potential. The location is perfect. On a quiet street only a short little walk to the park, just enough to make the outing a true adventure. The lot sits with the pool facing southwest, lots of sun all day. Finally, a very private setting, definitely a must have! After looking at all the floor plans in Windsor Hills, hands down this is the best. We love the expansiveness of the Great Room with a 25 ft ceiling. It's a true open plan with the kitchen, dining space and living area. Add to that the window wall looking out to the covered lanai and pool, this hands down is the best. Oh. . . I almost forgot, and the super spacious master bath! Finally, there was the potential. I'm always a sucker for a house that needs me! With the help of my long suffering husband and 2 dear saintly friends (thank you Marcia and Kevin!) we reimagined the décor from top to bottom. And so, we give you "Whimsey of Windsor Hills", our playfully, fanciful Windsor Hills Villa!
